no question this was the right move at the right time -to finish off the nuclear sites ( and bonus for killing leadership and scientists)
and causing Iran to go thru it's stockpiles of missiles.

It had to be done. It had to be done NOW. Iranian ballistic missiles were getting thru targeting Israeli major cities.
It would have been foolish to wait longer for the USA's strikes. It;s done, and Iran is severly degraded in all aspects
 
During the GOP Primary, MAGA Republicans were telling us that Hailey is a warmonger, and that is why they were choosing Trump over her.
 

Not quite as boring as the screeds of @phoenix2020 though.

It WAS an attempted hasty generalization.

I called it a "nice attempt" in much the same way as someone would refer to Icarus' flight as a nice attempt. Sort of like the southern veiled "Bless your heart" platitude.

The sanctity of Article 1 needs to be restored, rather than continuing the rot.

Yes, other presidents have done the wrong thing too - doesn't make it right.
This is the behavior of an empire, not of a constitutional republic.

Those like the Israelis want the US to be an empire, because they're in need of a Far Emperor in the form of USA.
This is not the vision that the American founding fathers had in mind.

Having fought to liberate themselves from the clutches of an empire, they did not wish to ever again be trapped under one - even one of their own making.
That's why they architected the Constitution in the way that they did.

Imperialism is a self-corrupting exercise, which destroys the one practicing it.

The data doesn't lie. One can certainly argue that Iran was not being fully transparent, but all transparency was gone once the JCPOA was ended as was compliance with the enrichment levels. So essentially Trump bombed Iran for doing what they no longer had to comply with because they were not under the agreement the US ended.

Our partners in the Middle East are better? The "Iran is a threat to all of western society" schtick is a better angle, considering the Saudis Trump danced with aren't a that much more progressive.
 
I guess that depends on what Netanyahu wants.
 
We need to think about the long term implications here.

With this bombing, Trump has demonstrated to the world once and for all that America cannot be trusted at its word. We will make an agreement, then cancel the agreement, then bomb you because we canceled the agreement. The majority of the global community just watched all of this play out in slow motion.

So, put yourself in the shoes of a South Korea or a Taiwan. Does Donald have your back? Of course not. Can America be trusted to repel a serious threat from China? Absolutely not, Donald would TACO in 48 hours. Do you have any other resource against a belligerent nuclear power? No. There's only one path forward: become a nuclear-arms state as quickly and quietly as you can.

I think the long term consequence of Trump 47 will be an expansion of the nuclear club, with these bombings sealing the deal.
