Trump lashes out at Utah redistricting ruling

President Donald Trump attacked the Utah judge who ordered the state to redraw its congressional maps ahead of the 2026 midterms — a decision that could result in less favorable districts for Republicans in the deeply red state.

Trump, who sparked a redistricting battle after demanding that Texas redraw its political boundaries to favor Republicans ahead of the midterms, called Monday's ruling “absolutely unconstitutional” and urged his party to preserve the state's four GOP-majority districts.

Dumpletits has ZERO ROOM to be calling the actions of others "unconstitutional". He never follows the constitution or the law.

He is TERRIFIED of losing control of the house because he knows his ass is getting impeached as soon as it happens. He also knows that the Democrats will start holding him and his goons accountable.

Why doesn't the dope in chief just issue an EO declaring that red states can redistrict at will in order to achieve the desired number of representatives?

After all, he believes he can do whatever he wants because he is king - er, president.

Seems like this is how he wants it to go.

2026 is gonna be a blast.
I might sound smug but damn, I am going to enjoy watching the show from a same distance.

Dude is going to aneurysm himself.

Yeah, but really, in all seriousness, what IS the safe distance from a nuclear blast? Asking for a friend.....

The way things look today, before redistricting, democrats gaining control of the house if iffy, probably no better than a 50-50 shot. Looking at competitive districts, 41 of them as of this AM. Competitive district are those in which either major party has a chance of switching them. The democrats have 23 of these districts to the republicans 18. Still, the democrats need only a 3-seat net gain to regain control of the house.

Impeachment would be a waste of time, money and energy if the democrats regained control of the house. Just like the first two impeachments were. There’s no way the democrats could get 67 senators to vote guilty to remove. The democrats currently have 47 senators, to reach 67 would require an additional 20 republican senators which isn’t going to happen.

As for Trump lashing out at the judge decision, one needs to remember that it was Trump who started his gerrymandering war by ordering Texas to redraw their districts. The judge has a whole lot more of the constitution on his side than Trump and Texas.

Agreed.

I am aware that Trump would not be removed but given his health issues, a third impeachment may just push him over the edge. I doubt he will be able to handle the stress. Either it causes him to stroke out or he goes so mental that he gets removed by way of the 25th Amendment. Either way, the Democrats retake the house and dumpytits is gone.

Well, I wasn't talking about a nuclear blast, I was referring to what this thread is about...........Trump whining about redistricting and the upcoming 2026 midterms.
