Updating voting results,More than 153 million votes are now counted.
California has almost all their votes counted, but around 1 million still is left there.
And in all other states, maybe another 1-2 million are left.
States have until December 11 to finish counting and release their official results to Congress, for the vote of the electoral college.

That would be a disservice to Americans overseas, especially US military and other government employees assigned to foreign locations. Ballots postmarked before polls close on Election Day should be counted upon arrival.Trump had a 4%-lead nationally on election night (51-47).
But in the end, with most mail-states (who lean heavily D) finishing their count soon, Trump's national lead has been cut from 4% to 1.5% ...
This is not ideal.
In my opinion, all votes should be counted on election day, or the day after.
California and Co. shouldn't be allowed to count votes for 5 weeks after election day. They should be mandated by the Supreme Court to change their election laws, so that all votes are counted immediately on election day and the day after.
Is this a case of keep counting until you get the right answer?
He still won, right?Trump now has 76.4 million votes and 49.93%
Which means a majority of American voters voted against Trump.

What percentage of eligible voters actually cast a vote?
How many didn't feel a need to vote as their State always votes Democrat or Republican.
I didn't vote for Trump or Harris, and just base my support on individual issues, which leaves me waiting until January to see what happens.
The same would be the case had Harris won.
He still won, right?
First off, elections in America are determined by the rules America has set for their elections.Yes, because of the electoral college.
In France though, Trump would now face a 2nd round runoff election with Harris though - because he dropped below 50%.

Second of all, saying "Yes, because of the electoral college." is the equivalent of saying "Your team won, but only because they scored more points".
Why not?Don't be mad.
Why not?
The AP is still showing Trump at 50.1% nationwide. Link
After all of the ballots are counted nationwide, Trump should be below 50% in the popular vote.
Most countries are not, to my knowledge, a confederation of states wherein each state is to have an equal voice to all others.Of course you can be mad.
But I'm just saying that most countries have no electoral college and elect presidents by popular vote and require runoffs if no candidate reaches 50%.
I'm just saying that Trump would not be president now in most other countries that are a democracy, because he's fallen below 50% with actual voters.
It's funny watching people melt down over Trump's decisive and clear cut victory.Of course you can be mad.
