The art of the deal is still rolling

People need to understand the better good is coming but first we need to take our medicine.

The GM CEO is on board as well as Ford.

Emphasis mine.

===================

"General Motors Co. CEO Mary Barra said in a statement Monday night that the Detroit automaker was "grateful to President Trump for his support of the U.S. automotive industry and the millions of Americans who depend on us."

"We believe the president’s leadership is helping level the playing field for companies like GM and allowing us to invest even more in the U.S. economy," she said. "We appreciate the productive conversations with the president and his administration and look forward to continuing to work together."

"Ford Motor Co. CEO Jim Farley, in a statement late Monday, said the Dearborn automaker will continue to work with the administration to support the president's vision for a "healthy and growing auto industry in America."

Meanwhile, at least 2 other US auto manufactures are shuttering facilities and stopping production due to tariffs costs. Costing Americans their jobs.

So much winning.
but....but....but.... Its all or nothing for some.

No details were disclosed
I suspect there will be one or two very very very minor points so he can call his caving in a win
Yea, like "leveling the playing field" as stated by the CEO of GM right?

So, a few made statements that stroke trumps fragile ego. He needs that.

Do you really expect a CEO to insult the man/child with a very fragile ego and long history of taking revenge on those who slight him, who has the power to do even more damage to his company and industy?

They can go to work at GM and FORD.
I must have missed where Ford announced more jobs in your link.

Or where those jobs are in the same location as the jobs that have been lost.

Can you highlight those additional jobs?

How about where they are building more manufacturing facilities that are going to be spinning up and hiring the workers displaced?

News earlier in April was about how Ford is re-calibrating and going to be undergoing layoffs by the end of Q2 this year.

🤷‍♀️

So what's the deal?

Common sense expansion comes with personnel growth. You should know that being in business. Oh, if one needs to relocate due to employment that’s what has to be done.

Ford is anticipating layoffs. 🤷‍♀️

Some for a potentially short period of 10-ish months, others permanent.

Announced earlier this month.

Tell that to the coal miners in West Virginia. They hang on year after year betting on campaign promises and sporting STOP the WAR on Coal bumper stickers and living in poverty.

The article lacks any details on what the deal actually is. It says it will bring more jobs, and help alleviate prices from tariffs. But it looks like at least 4 other manufacturers that will see issues.

It also doesn't look like this will be effective anytime soon based on some of the limited information in the article.

There are a lot of issues that come with the ideas Trump is trying here. labor laws, minimum wages, unions, all are just the tip of the issues.

It's the GM and Ford CEO's who knows the art of the deal. They are wisely buttering him up and letting him take some sort of win in order to get a break on these destructive tariffs. They had previously written him a joint letter outlining the significant harm this would do to American auto manufacturing.

That's because this is a standard VySky Disinformation Thread. It's low on actual information and seething with MAGA propaganda.

Trump's last Trade War cost us jobs, don't expect Trade War 2.0 to do anything differently.

Reading comprehension challenges this morning?
I didn't see any actual deal in the article.

Odd you don't mention what it is in the OP. You claim it is the "art of the deal" but I don't see what the deal actually is.

Trump doesn't have any deals that justify the harm he has already done.

When/if he ever has a halfway decent deal, with anyone, he'll be running to the camera personally to tell us what good boy he's been.
