Not sure why the title calls it minor. This disease killed my step father and its linked to dementia like Alzheimers. Blood clots can form and instantly kill you not to mention what the condition does to your very veinous brain

Washington — President Trump has been diagnosed with a "benign and common" vein condition known as chronic venous insufficiency after he noticed swelling in his legs, the White House said Thursday.

The president's physician, Sean Barbabella, said in a memo that the president underwent a thorough health examination after he noticed mild swelling in his legs, and it revealed no evidence of a more serious condition like deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt read the memo at Thursday's press briefing, and the White House later released it.

Prognosis...

CVI is not a benign disorder and, with its progression, can lead to morbidity. Venous ulcers are common and very difficult to treat. Chronic venous ulcers are painful and debilitating. Even with treatment, recurrences are common if venous hypertension persists. Nearly 60% develop phlebitis which often progresses to deep vein thrombosis in more than 50% of patients. The venous insufficiency can also lead to severe hemorrhage. Surgery for CVI remains unsatisfactory despite the availability of numerous procedures.

We have no clue why puffy is puffy but if they say it's from chronic venous insufficiency we know it is not chronic venous insufficiency.

Bullshit. You only keep your bruises over a long time, if you are on heavy ass blood thinners, and "Aspirin" aint that. I am on an Aspirin regime, and if I somehow manage to get a bruise, then it is gone in a week or two.

Now my father got heavy duty blood thinners, and he often got bruises just bumping into things, and those bruises stayed there for weeks if not months.

Trump has a bad heart pure and simple.. you get blood thinners to avoid blood clots. Us fat people (yea I am fat), with heat issues, need blood thinners to avoid getting blood clots and hence strokes.

As for his swollen ankles.. yep, bad heart = swollen ankles. He is not taking his pee pills.. or he is, and it aint helping.. and if it is the latter, then he has months to live.

CVI usually isn’t life-threatening and doesn’t result in amputation. But it’s a progressive disease that can cause discomfort, pain and reduced quality of life. Treatment can help manage your symptoms and give you a better quality of life.

Venous ulcers are difficult to treat, and they may return even after treatment. It’s important to keep all your medical appointments and closely follow your provider’s guidance.

That did not look like minor swelling in his legs.
Show us the picture? My step father was dead only 2 months after his dx with this. Granted it was the actual failure of the surgery that killed him, but this is no minor issue

This disease itself no, but the blood clots are deadly

Maybe he can spray paint more random things with gold coloring and feel better.

Because there are different stages and varying degrees of severity.
