Trump Demands 'Immediate Release' Of FBI Raid Documents

update (0032ET): President Trump has effectively dared the Department of Justice to release the documents related to the Monday raid on Mar-a-Lago.

"Not only will I not oppose the release of documents related to the unAmerican, unwarranted, and unnecessary raid and break-in of my home in Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-a-Lago, I am going a step further by ENCOURAGING the immediate release of those documents, even though they have been drawn up by radical left Democrats and possible future political opponents, who have a strong and powerful vested interest in attacking me, much as they have done for the last 6 years…" Trump said in a Thursday night post on Truth Social.

More from the Putin bullshit website eh?

And he can just release them himself... why does the FBI have to go through the legal process to do it, when he can just do it?

Must have misplaced his copy of the paperwork already.

No wonder the DOJ had concerns about his storage of documents.
This is a chess match. Garland has to make the next move.

Trump looks worse than his BFF Putin.

Hmmm. I was positive Trump would oppose the release the warrant. I was wrong.

On the other hand, I don't believe a word Trump says so I'm going to wait and see.

It’s a chess match. I’m confident his real lawyers behind the scenes are navigating the waters.

When executing a search warrant the procedure would be to leave copies of the warrant and inventory list of items taken with the owner or representative.

This is what the DOJ is requesting be unsealed for release:

In these circumstances involving a search of the residence of a former President, the government hereby requests that the Court unseal the Notice of Filing and its attachment (Docket Entry 17), absent objection by former President Trump. The attachment to that Notice consists of:
  • The search warrant signed and approved by the Court on August 5, 2022, including Attachments A and B; and
  • The redacted Property Receipt listing items seized pursuant to the search, filed with the Court on August 11, 2022.

It appears Trump is demanding the release of paperwork that should already be in his possession. Couldn't he just release it himself?

Sure he could.

Garland gave Trump time to object to unsealing the warrant. Trump has no objections but goes further to encourage it.

So, Trump is demanding the 'immediate release' of documents by the government that he could release simply by sharing his own copies immediately?

Well, if both the DOJ and Trump are for the court releasing the docs, then we will see what is contained therein.

This is a chess match. Garland has to make the next move.
Which Garland will make. Which Donnie's little Fascist piglets will complain about because IT's not enough. Its never enough for the Fascist piglets.

We will get the unsealed warrant which Trump's attorneys already have and yes this was a court authorized execution of a search warrant, NOT A RAID.

We will get a copy of the receipt that Trump attorneys already have. In all likelihood, the best we will get out of that is either the sequential serialized numerical identifiers for WH documents and/or some title page verbiage. That is certainly all that would be on the receipt.

You're a little late to the party....The FBI said ok and he said Wait a minute you can't release those

His strip mall lawyer also admitted to reviewing the material in the boxes. Methinks she does not have the clearance to review classified documents.

But she doesn't "think" there was anything nuclear sensitive in there. How the hell would she know. She has not even talked to her client....but of course she hasn't.

He already did at 3 pm yesterday. He requested the warrant and raid info be released. Garland had to give Trump until 3pm today to decide
Yes, I know that. Trump made his move, now its Garland's
