The last 10 minutes of the nearly 45-minute engagement devolved into a tense back and forth between Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Zelenskyy — who had urged skepticism about Russia’s commitment to diplomacy, citing Moscow’s years of broken commitments on the global stage.

It began with Vance telling Zelenskyy, “Mr. President, with respect. I think it’s disrespectful for you to come to the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media.”

It was an astonishing display of open antagonism in the Oval Office, a setting better known for somber diplomacy. Trump laid bare his efforts to coerce Zelenskyy to agree to giving the U.S. an interest in his country’s valuable minerals and to push him toward a diplomatic resolution to the war on the American leader’s terms.

Trump is a baby, and all he's trying to do is to push this so Putin gets everything he wants and more. He's not willing to commit much to the Ukraine in terms of security assurances, and instead just wants to go after Ukraine's natural resources. It's a despicable and embarrassing display by our President, but this conman felon is who we're stuck with.

A horrible thought about this is Trump keeps saying that this is pushing WW3, it's not, but assume WW3 did break out. Which side do you think Trump would commit us to? It would be Russia's side. We'd fight with Russia and China against the West.

1) Trump has shown his emotions here, at a time he shouldn't have. It is more important to lead, than lose your temper.
2) Zelensky, again, shows he is not ready for prime time. He is an idiot. The deal would have been very good for him and his country and he acted like a child.
MAJOR - MAJOR mistake.

The report now is Zelensky spent the last 10 minutes begging to stay and apologize. And Trump refused it.

I think Trump is very impressed.
Ukraine has used up its internal resources to wage war in six months. The country is completely dependent on Western countries for the supply of weapons, military equipment, other equipment for soldiers, humanitarian aid, and financing of the country's budget... and Zeleknsky turned out to be incompetent.
Trump has never seen such idiots and has never encountered such stupidity... dementia and courage

Prime time? This isn't ****ing television, this isn't some reality TV show, it's not about ratings. This is international diplomacy, Ukraine's fight to keep its boarders from Putin's multiple attempts to take their land. I don't know why people insist that we should be living in the world of Idiocracy, but government is not supposed to be entertaining.

Trump is pushing a complete 180 on our international policy and giving into everything Putin desires. I have to wonder just what Putin has over him to turn Trump into his puppet.

When asked what would happen if Putin breaks the ceasefire, Trump blamed everything on Hunter Biden. Trump insinuated Putin is a victim of Hunter Biden.

Trump's mind has been gone for a long time.

(Trump also told the reporter, "What would happen if a bomb fell on your head right now?" It's so nice to have a Romper Room Oval Office.)

I loved Trump and Vance setting Zelensky straight and talking about war like a normal person and not like all these chicken hawks that clap like seals from the safety of their couch at all the death and destruction.
