Trump claims Obama tapped Trump Tower phones before election - CBS News
It will never stop to amaze...
LinkInstead, the Obama Justice Department decided to pursue the matter as a national-security investigation under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). In June, it sought the FISA court’s permission to conduct surveillance on a number of Trump associates — and perhaps even Trump himself. It has been reported that Trump was “named” in the application, but it is not publicly known whether he (a) was named as a proposed wiretap target, or (b) was just mentioned in passing in the application.
The FISA court found the application so weak that it said now — which it never does — and the Obama Administration came back with a narrower one, which may or may not have mentioned Trump specifically, which was granted, shortly before the election.
Maybe, just maybe, there could have been a better way? Something that has some basis in fact? You knew he'd find a way to get Sessions off the front page.
How is that possibly relevant? Was any of it denied or secretive? If it was bad is it being investigated and does it excuse another bad? This and news that the democrats all met with the russians, too, of course.

In other words you attempted a pathetic deflection and now that you were called on it have nothing to offer. If all you had was partisan hackery why did you even bother?Doesn't matter. You've lost the moment you ask about relevance.
Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump
How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!
Given that Trump decided to go public with this, aren't we entitled to the evidence that a FISA court acted on?
The fact that Trump thinks this makes him look good astounds me.
Trump does not specify how he uncovered the Obama administration's alleged wiretapping.
However, he could be referencing to a Breitbart article posted Friday that claimed the Obama administration made two Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) requests in 2016 to monitor Trump communications and a computer server in Trump Tower focusing on possible links with Russian banks. No evidence was found.
The article was based off a segment by radio host Mark Levin.
This and news that the democrats all met with the russians, too, of course.

Alleged to happen: Trump accuses Obama administration of wiretapping Trump Tower phones | Fox News
Sessions does not reveal meeting with Russians during his hearing for AG job. Conservative reaction: but democrats met with Russians too. Kinda misses the whole ****ing point, but logic is not needed apparently..
To show your pathetic deflection? Crap like that should never stand.Yes, so why did you bother?

It will never stop to amaze...
Just a day before the election last year, former Heat Street editor Louise Mensch reported that 'sources with links to the counter-intelligence community' confirmed that a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) had granted a FISA court warrant in October to monitor activities in Trump tower.

On Wednesday, a New York Times report said White House officials took efforts in the closing days of the Obama administration to analyze and spread information about Russian election interference, driven by a concern that the material might get buried by Trump.
Intelligence agencies rushed to analyze raw intelligence material about Russia connections, going over months-old material as the extent and possible motives of what the agencies say is Russian election hacking emerged.
Officials made efforts to ask specific questions at intelligence briefings as a way to get the information into the record and be archived for examination later.
In January, American law enforcement and intelligence agencies examined intercepted communications and financial transactions as part of a broad investigation into possible links between Russian officials and associates of Trump, according to the Times.
The FBI led the investigations, aided by the National Security Agency, and the Treasury Department's financial crimes unit.
Investigators found no conclusive evidence of wrongdoing, the officials said.
One official said intelligence reports based on some of the wiretapped communications had been provided to the White House.

No your not.
Well, given that he just accused the FISA or FBI of acting politically against a rival campaign at the behest of the former President, he just effectively demanded an investigation of those parties. Are you aware of that?

Bill and Hillary Clinton received large sums of money directly and indirectly from Russian officials while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State. Bill Clinton was paid a cool $500,000 (well above his normal fee) for a speech in Moscow in 2010. Who footed the bill? An investment firm in Moscow called Renaissance Capital, which boasts deep ties to Russian intelligence. The Clinton Foundation itself took money from Russian officials and Putin-connected oligarchs. They also took donations from:
* Viktor Vekselberg, a Putin confidant who gave through his company, Renova Group
* Andrey Vavilov, a former Russian government official who was Chairman of SuperOx, a research company that was part of the “nuclear Cluster” at the Russian government’s Skolkovo research facility
* Elena Baturina, the wife of the former Mayor of Moscow, who apparently gave them money through JSC Inteco, an entity that she controls
That will be up to the FBI.
The petition of the fisa court can be released but not the evidence presented.
So he can say that there was a request for a wiretap but that is about it.
Yes if there is evidence to wiretap trump tower without evidence it should be investigated.
Also as it seems the fisa court rejected the first attempt.
He isn't accusing the FBI he is accusing obama who wanted it done.
The FBI and the fisa court were only following the direction of the president.
I find this very disturbing that the FBI and the fisa court were being used as a
Political weapon without cause. I will wait for information as I want to see the actual
Petition which can be released.

Obama tried to turn America into a banana republic
