Trumpers won't mind. Seriously, they won't. I am saying Trumpers, not necessarily every Trump voter who voted for the economy. But the diehard Trumper who only pretended to vote for the economy but were really voting for attacks on brown people, transgenders, owning the Libs and browbeating other nations as some sort of macho exercise.

Compare this latest Trump 'positioning' with what Trump promised when he was chasing votes pre-election. That gives you a sense of the size of his failure to deliver what he promised. Plenty of non-magas predicted this economic failure based on Trumps stated policies, but all the magas would say was "but last time". If you can't be bothered applying some rational thought to what is being put in front of you, you can expect the sort of failures we are getting from electing a fiscal muppet.

He’s counting on the economy getting worse. When people get upset and start protesting, he can call it “rioting” and invoke the Insurrection Act.

Anyone charging top-prices to create ads for Democratic Candidates in 2026 is committing robbery. All you have to do is constantly roll tape of Trump in his own words, a picture of him standing in one of his gold-gilded rooms, and then connect him to the local candidate you are running against.

Set up said candidate to get asked explicitly about it in public and on tape so he or she can either have MAGA turn on them in fury, or tie themselves to insane idiocy.... and there you are.

All Democrats have to do is look like NORMAL COMPETENT ADULTS.

If they can just avoid scaring the normies.... they win. That's it'. That's the only bar they have to clear. Show Trump in his own words, connect the candidates they are running against to Trump and Trump's policies, and don't look or sound like a kook.

I wish I could go back in time 20 years and tell the older millenial crowd that in the future you'll think vaccines are a big pharma conspiracy, that preservatives in food are bad, and you'll be a critical of neoloberal consumerist culture and think Americans should consume fewer cheap Chinese goods.

They'd all say "nuhh uhh I ain't gonna be no kawmie!".

No one said preservatives in food is bad, the debate is now about food dyes. Big diff.

Trump is basically right. America is addicted to over consumption. It's so ingrained into our society that low end consumer choices has vaporized. You can't buy a stripped down car anymore, or a tiny home. let me clarify, you can buy a tiny home but you'll pay a fortune for what you get. Even though we live in giant homes we still need to rent a storage unit to store all our stuff. The larger we live the bigger our footprint, the more natural resources we use and the more pollution and greenhouse gases we generate. There was a time when the left would acknowledge that living large is generally bad but apparently if Trump says it then we should do the opposite. The simple truth is Trump and his followers knows a thing or two about sacrificing for the future and the greater good. Those lefties talk a good game but their actions tell you otherwise.

Don't worry, MAGAs: Dear Leader will not only be just fine, but he, his family, and his monied elite pals will make millions and deprive themselves of nothing as they pwn doze libz for you.

Don't like investments into our future huh?

How does my comment translate into that question? Unless you think Trump is actually investing in your future. If you believe that, well then you believe that. I won't challenge delusions.
However, I will stick with my assessment of why Trumpers love Trump. Ok with you?

LMAO Donald won't deprive himself of anything. But he'll make you do it.

And the other side of that coin is 20 years ago MAGAs would have decried your "reduce consumption" talk as anti-capitalist, anti-American rhetoric. But I agree that Americans in general need to rethink their consumption habits.

Not sure what is stopping them, if they can't beat the GOP in 2026 they suck.

You contradicted yourself.

He's becoming Henry David Thoreau before our eyes.

Lol Trump ain't sacrificing a thing, he's a huge consumer and part of that problem. He literally touts a "rich" lifestyle that contributes to the over consumption image. You might have had a point but to place Trump in a category about sacrifice kinda defeats that.

Are Trump’s tariffs going to stay in place forever (the only way manufacturing will return to and stay in America) or are they negotiating tactics to get better free trade deals that will result in American jobs being sent overseas?

So why was this not an issue at the end of 2024, but a source of great outrage?

“Trump and his followers know a thing or two about sacrificing for the future and the greater good”? COMMIES!!!

If Republicans can't get the recession that they want, they'll force one.

I am not sure it's what they want, rather than just them unintentionally driving us into that ditch because they are just so blind and stupid.
