US President Donald Trump has made it plain he’s not a fan of the $53 billion CHIPS and Science Act that funds semiconductor manufacturing and research on American soil – and now it appears he’s decided to make substantial staff cuts at the agencies that administer it.…

(much more at link)

So this is how Trump will "bring manufacturing back to the USA?

Sounds like Xi had a sad over it and Trump is doing this to help China out.

So....we're not bringing back manufacturing then? Odd, thought he was all about that.

just more "retribution" against anything biden did, no matter how good.

trump is such a manchild.

We can only hope that TSMC remains willing to keep construction going in Phoenix and not pull out.

If they back off and cancel the project, then the American era of dominance is all but over, since we will have lost control of the most precious, most important industry of the next century.

America First was always a lie.

But it's quickly apparent this time, it's blatantly Trump first.

And then... No one else.

If anyone else suggested it, did it, passed it into law, it's not worth having.
