Trump calls for Intel CEO’s resignation

Why would that matter? Why would a supposed dictator bother to wait?
Just wait.
This is a hypothetical at this point.
Most things are.
Do you have any evidence that they have? Or is this just you pushing your nonsense narrative?
From another thread...
"U.S. Sen. John Cornyn announced that the FBI has granted his request to investigate and locate the Texas Democratic lawmakers who left the state in an attempt to stop the passage of new GOP-favored congressional maps."
Seeing that there's been no federal action taken in that matter, no expression of culpability from the DOJ, you're just pissing into the wind. Enjoy your shower.
"In response to the letter, Cornyn said on a local radio show that Patel “had assigned agents in both the San Antonio and Austin office,” but he did not specify what role those agents would play."

and another 30% are not educated enough to care about politics
ohhh they're gonna start caring as the teeth of Trump's stupid economic policies start hitting. Boy oh boy are non-politics people going to have their lives invaded by politics.

Just wait.
Weak sauce.

Most things are.
Still weaker sauce.

'Investigate to locate' isn't the innuendo you are pushing, is it though?

"In response to the letter, Cornyn said on a local radio show that Patel “had assigned agents in both the San Antonio and Austin office,” but he did not specify what role those agents would play."
This certainly doesn't support the innuendo which you are pushing, and isn't related to the calling for a CEO's resignation.

His superpower consists of a complete lack of shame, morals, and character.
Exactly.
And he throws in a heaping measure of lack of empathy and lack of ethical fortitude to boot.

Trump hasn't ordered Intel to do anything. Breathe into a paper bag. Intel has been a shit show for 5 years and this guy doesn't have a clue. I don't think the board knows what to do either. It may as well be from the horse and buggy era.

And this is how we correct it? By a sitting president ordering a private company to change personnel? And what is it we're fighting with China if we accept our government controlling business? LOLOLOL my god conservatives are so bad at understanding ideology they don't even remember why they don't trust China's government.

Despite what I’m sure is an impressive record of corporate analysis, who gives a shit what your hot take on intel is? And it’s Trump screaming at the clouds to fire c suite of a private company.

Cope.

Trump is right. Intel is trying to do the Walmart thing with offshoring manufacturing to China. They're going to end up like IBM in which all they do is manage intellectual property. America deserves better for this technology icon.
Seems like they are being more like the ivanka trump thing.

I'd say it's more a strong response to extreme left wing positions and influence across our government and society as a whole. The glaring positions we have seen regarding illegal immigration, trans gender policies regarding school age children, and soft of crime through downgrading offenses and refulsal to charge many crimes, have taken us in a downward spiral for the past couple of decades. The past four years highlighted much of this.
transgender policies regarding school age children? What policies would that be?
Soft on crime? We have a felon as president of USA.

Your post ring hollow of hypocrisy

When the CEO has what appears to be a dangerous relationship to the Chinese, yes. It's pretty common knowledge that China wants to infiltrate American business, culture and politics.
You must think one of the largest companies in the world has a board full on nincompoops.

Wonder how they got to be so successful being such nincompoops.

Trump hasn't ordered Intel to do anything.
??? No one said he did. That would be stupid. He can't order Intel to do anything.

Breathe into a paper bag.
Good advice you should take.

Intel has been a shit show for 5 years and this guy doesn't have a clue.
They've had their struggles, but I haven't had any stock in Intel for a long time. Don't know anything about him - but somehow I doubt your assessment.

I don't think the board knows what to do either. It may as well be from the horse and buggy era.
Uh huh.

Exactly.
And he throws in a heaping measure of lack of empathy and lack of ethical fortitude to boot.
Then add in his lack of intelligence...wow. Worst president ever.

We better be on the cutting edge of technology when it comes to chips we put into our military. Know how to infiltrate, and spot infiltration.
I kind of doubt we are.

Other than that, no problem with 'ties to China'

I believe the CEO's connections to China extend beyond mere appearances.

So dont give him a security clearance. The government has no godam say in how private industry is run.

So you have government overreach unless a Republican does it...

Lets just end the union and contain this shit to the maga hellholes.

TACO TACO MAN! The CEO must have given Trump a special little gold trinket

President Donald Trump said Monday that he and members of his cabinet met with Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, days after he called on the head of the chipmaker to resign. Intel shares rose 2% in extended trading.

“I met with Mr. Lip-Bu Tan, of Intel, along with Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick, and Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “The meeting was a very interesting one. His success and rise is an amazing story. Mr. Tan and my Cabinet members are going to spend time together, and bring suggestions to me during the next week. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Does Intel matter anymore?

Is Intel even planning further desktop CPU designs after Nova Lake comes out?

Or is Intel just going to sell Nova Lake CPUs until people stop buying them and then quietly exit the desktop CPU market?

It'd be nice if they could compete on the GPU front a bit more, that's probably their only hope. AMD was down in the dumps pretty bad in 2012 before they rose from the ashes & rode the gaming wave. Not sure though with Intel, they missed two waves now (gaming & AI)

Amd went fabless and once it got out of contractual obligations to global foundries ( it’s old fabs spinoff) and went to TSMC it was able to develop new designs quickly to catch up and beat Intel in some cases for CPUs.

I don’t think the US wants Intel to spin off its fab business

Yes, but is Intel even planning new desktop designs?

Usually you hear about their plans a few generations ahead. The farther out in the future a plan is, the more vague the details are, but there is at least a little bit of information about future designs.

And that is currently the case with Intel's future laptop CPUs and future server CPUs.

But after the coming Nova Lake design, there is not a peep about any plans for future generations of desktop CPUs to come after that. The complete void of any information of any sort (even rumors) is actually pretty ominous. There is no word that Intel is planning for anything at all after Nova Lake when it comes to desktop CPUs.

Actually a couple months ago Trump proposed that Intel's fab business be sold to a consortium owned by Apple, Nvidia, TSMC, Broadcom, and Qualcomm.
