Trump bloviates "I'm gonna put a 100, 200, 2000% tariff," The Redcoats imposed tea tariffs and led to the Revolutionary War. Stupidity repeats itself.

LOL!!

Oh...I see. YOU didn't reference a wiki. You want ME to read a wiki.

Nah.

I prefer sources with a bit more credibility...like the History Channel.

There. Consider yourself exposed to an education.

Bye.
Your article says the same thing, that the colonists objected to the import duty on tea and that triggered the Boston Tea Party which led to the Revolutionary War. Your failed attempt to mislead readers, (including yourself) that are too biased, presumptious, prejudiced or lazy to read both articles, into believing the duty on tea did not trigger the Boston Tea Party and/or lead to the Revolutionary War is a common MAGA deception. You falsely dismiss any evidence that doesn't fit your dime-a-dozen opinion.

I can blame him for leaving the allegedly harmful tariffs in place after the pandemic. He owns that.

Are we still in a pandemic? Harris/Biden's tariffs are still in place even today.

Does your dislike of Musk extend to letting China dump cheap subsidized EV cars into the US to drive Tesla out of business?
Free market competition is good for 370,000,000 US consumers. Every business must adapt or fail, including Tesla. Every tax payer and consumer can't be expected to subsidize the inefficiencies of uncompetetive businesses with inflationary duties & tariffs. Competition drives progress. Duties and transient tariffs are economic crutches.

So, ummm, the tea party was because England taxed America in 1773 and someone convinced you through constant repetition (indoctrination) that somehow a tariff on China is a tax and you think China is going to start a revolutionary war in America???

What will they do? Have Xi stir up the populace that they need Nike's and GameBoys and cheap dolls and they need to revolt?
You sure know how to clutter up a debate with your meaningless sarcasm (or stupidity). The Boston Tea Party and it's catalytic effect on Independence is historical fact. I know fact is painful to Trump supporters but somebody has pull their head out of the sand (or Trump's behnd). Trumps tariffs will cause economic disruption that could exacerbate the violence that he's long created out of thin air with his lies about a stolen election that have all been disproven. China may start a trade war, but another US revolutionary will come from within with the syncronization of Trump's divisiveness & lies and the propaganda of enemies of Democracy and the USA.

Thank you, but this is a Wendys and the question was if you wanted fries with your meal.

Tariffs are needed in a few important industries.

Patriots owner on Trump: Like having ‘a drunk fraternity brother become president’

The owner of the New England Patriots football team recently equated former President Trump to a “drunk fraternity brother” during his presidency, noting their previous longtime friendship.

“I couldn’t believe it,” Robert Kraft told Charlamagne tha God on “The Breakfast Club” radio program Friday. “It was like having someone who’s a drunk fraternity brother become [president of the United States.]”
