Trump announces on Truth Social that the U.S. has successfully attacked Iran

Axios reports, "The U.S. military conducted air strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan on Sunday morning local time, President Trump announced on Truth Social.

Why it matters: Trump's decision to intervene directly in support of Israel's effort to dismantle Iran's nuclear program marks a historic escalation in the Middle East.

It's an intervention fraught with risks and uncertainty — one that Trump and many of his predecessors had sought to avoid, including through diplomacy with Iran.

The attack, which came on the ninth night of the unprecedented war between Israel and Iran, could provoke retaliation from Tehran against U.S. troops and military installations across the region.

We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space," Trump wrote on his Truth Social account.

  • "A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow," he continued, referring to Iran's most fortified uranium enrichment facility.
  • "There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!" Trump announced on Truth Social.

Um, the Netanyahu government is at war with Hamas. The citizens of Gaza are being harmed because of the actions of Hamas. Not sure how you libs could still be getting this wrong after all this time

This is very strange. The only source for this is Trump.

Other major media outlets are reporting this, but they all attribute the information to Trump.

Put it this way, as things stand right now, our country just became involved in a major war, and the only source for this information is Trump?

There is no independent source reporting bomb damage. Nothing from Israel. Nothing from Iran.

Just Trump.

So, not only does Trump use the negotiations process to stall and let Israel sucker-punch Iran, we say "two weeks" when we really mean two days to think about restarting negotiations. Not that it mattered because we were gonna do this no matter what.

I wonder how those trade deal negotiations are going...especially since they knew the US is now led by a total snake.

You know how for decades Israel has had to keep looking over its shoulder, always searching every person and bag, fearful of snipers and suicide bombers that no wall has stopped?

That's what our involvement in this "war" can bring here. Low-cost to Iran, plenty of extremist Muslims to heed the terrorist call to action, paralyzing to the US and our economy.
