Trump is literally the biggest man baby I've ever seen.

"One of those "assessments," the memo explains, is four 200-word essay questions each applicant must answer in order to prove that they would be a good fit for the Trump administration.

The questions, particularly the third, ask the applicant to prove their mettle not only through personal qualification, but also with an ideological alignment with the administration’s existing policies."

Forced speech.

Lawsuit time.

I have a hard time making light of this shit these days. Consider 1/6. Then consider everything he has done to consolidate power. Consider that SCOTUS basically gave him a carte blanche to do whatever he wants as long as it can be conceived of as "official". Consider likely future Democrat wussiness about testing that by trying him if he ever leaves office and they win an election.

He really may attempt to stay in office meaningfully this time. There's no reason to think he won't. And depending on just how successful he is in stocking government positions - especially those who carry guns - with pure loyalists, he might be successful this time.

Last time he relied on his MAGA terrorists but didn't try ordering federal forces in to help them. He just sat back and waited to see what would happen. And, when they ultimately were not successful in killing pence and a bunch of Democrats, didn't bother doing more.

Our main hope is in his incompetence, and in the fact that his appointees are almost all completely incompetent and have no experience doing what they're appointed to do. People say things like "oh, the army swears an oath to the consitution."

Ok, but humans break oaths. There's no reason to think being a U.S. service member necessarily means an individual is of unyielding principle in the face of any danger.

If you're shocked at the question then you haven't been interviewing in the last 25+ years. Welcome to the world of structured interviewing where everyone is treated identically and you're objectively (vs. subjectively) scored.

because
too many people keep thinking that there's no way this is happening here
it will happen here

it is heinous and horrific.

but how else will people be convinced that it's heinous, horrific, and here?

This is how communists work. MAGA is a communist party, Party Loyalty is essential to commies.

Anyone who believes the guy that called his VP a coward for not violating the constitution and told his AG to “Just say the election was corrupt and leave the rest to me and the Republican congressmen,”, is not going to cling to power is childishly naive.

I suspect if he had the same people in positions last time he lost then he does now, Trump would have been successful at stealing the election.

Just a minute here. Did you read the article?
Are you not the least bit conflicted about questions one and three?

You can infer from the questions that they're crystal clear as to what kind of people they're looking for. I myself would be challenged to to write up a good answer. I believe these jobs are pretty high up there and not your ordinary goverment job.

FIFY 😁 😉 😜 😘

one of the questions was
"How would you help advance the President’s Executive Orders and policy priorities in this role? Identify one or two relevant Executive Orders or policy initiatives that are significant to you, and explain how you would help implement them if hired."

How many GS-3 seasonal wildland firefighters do you believe have read or even thought about some of the President EO's?
Is it a reasonable expectation that a some GS-3 would know about the EO's?

"Fascism is the stage reached after communism has proved an illusion'" - F.A. Hayek
Good quote but I think Donald skipped the "communism" step and went straight to fascism.

Unless you count the vague promises to coal miners as the communist era. That was certainly illusionary.

Dysfunctional Donald couldn't answer the first question!

"How has your commitment to the Constitution and the founding principles of the United States inspired you to pursue this role within the Federal government?"

He did say vote for him and you wouldn't have to vote any more.

Well it is true that in a lot of communist movements/revolutions, they try to start with the handjob of Marxism. Trying to sell this whole "we're all going to prosper, you're going to get a piece of the pie, the government will work for you, the proletariat will rise up, the oligarchs are evil and we'll put them in their place, etc." sort of thing. Trump's rhetoric was about how he was going to make us great and punish the oligarchy sort of thing. But MAGA has quickly left the handjobs behind to launch straight into the end-game communism which is just brutal authoritarianism, adherent worship of Dear Leader, and forced loyalty to the Party.

Another example of undying loyalty to a man.

Cult!
