This is a bad idea for so many reasons. Students admitted to Harvard are some of the brightest people in the world. They do important research while there and some stay in the US contributing to America's brain power.

Accomplished Harvard international student alumni include Yoichiro Nambu, Ban Ki-moon, Henry Kissinger, Margaret Atwood and many more.

The Trump administration on Thursday halted Harvard’s ability to enroll international students amid an ongoing standoff between the government and the Ivy League school.

Harvard has refused to adhere to a set of demands issued by the Trump administration’s Task Force to Combat Anti-Semitism that included sweeping reforms to whom the university can hire and admit, and subjecting the ideology of faculty members to an audit approved by the government.

America is going to be the dumbest self-defeating shit possible to exact the pettiest of revenge, thanks to scum of the Earth MAGAs.

Considering that some respected professors have already left the USA due to this admin and the fact that Europe is actively recruiting discontented scientists, researchers and academists , this does not bode well for our nation in the foreseeable future. Of course the term "foreseeable" to the GQP means the next blank check cut by a multi-billionaire.

Fascist trump and his magat suckers are allergic to intelligence, education and facts. They're trying to dumb down America so they can feel like they are smart and clever.

Everything the Project 2025'ers are pulling is anti-American, unconstitutional and I hope the day comes they are all held accountable for their actions. Unfortunately, I realize my hope may never come true and America will be dead.

Good, keep them out. Cut the funding, stop issuing the education visa's. Nobody should be able to travel here to go to school and then protest this country and advocate for violence while here going to school. Pack their bags, ship em home.

This action is the definition of "arbitrary and capricious".

This is a fail on so many levels.

Good, keep them out. Cut the funding

They pay for their education. A premium actually at most universities.

Nobody should be able to travel here to go to school and then protest this country and advocate for violence while here going to school.

Who the hell are you talking about? This is all international students, current and future.

Pack their bags, ship em home.

They're not being sent home. Did you not read the article? They're having to move to another university.

The only thing accurate in your whole post is the time stamp.

Every single foreign student at Harvard protested this country and advocated for violence? What an embarrassingly stupid post.

Every single foreign student at Harvard protested this country and advocated for violence?
And the ones who haven't even applied yet.

Now that I think of it our current Prime Minister was an international student at Harvard.

What else comes to mind is that all International students at Harvard have to leave the school. Some of them are from Israel.

According to Harvard about 100 students study at the school.

I guess that means the policy is anti-Semitic.

This is one of the stupidest of incredibly stupid actions of the regime. It is, among other things, illegal, immoral, idiotic, and economic suicide. Harvard is one of the premier US institutions for attracting foreign investment to the United States.

Individual students or their sponsors (like their families or home governments) pay for the cost of attending Harvard, which includes tuition, fees, living expenses, and other costs. The standard cost of attendance for undergraduate students at Harvard College is $82,866 for billed costs, including tuition, fees, housing, and food. The standard cost of attendance for international students at the Harvard Graduate School of Education is $101,974. This figure includes tuition, fees, living expenses, and books. Students in the Teaching & Teacher Leadership (TTL) Program must certify an additional $3,150, bringing the total to $105,124.

Per the Harvard Crimson: "Harvard received more than $100 million in contributions from government sources in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bangladesh in the last four years, according to data released by the Department of Education.

The University received more than $151 million in total contributions from foreign governments between January 2020 and October 2024 — making up more than 13 percent of the total $1.1 billion received from foreign donors over the same period.

In compliance with Section 117 of the Higher Education Act, universities report contracts and gifts from foreign sources larger than $250,000. Harvard is the largest recipient of foreign investment among its Ivy-league peers, receiving nearly $200 million more than the second-highest recipient, Cornell University."

The left didn't mind when DEI was preventing foreign students from being accepted. But now the script is flipped! We need the foreign students!

"At the Kennedy School, 59 percent of students come from outside the United States. International students make up 40 percent of the enrollment at the T.H. Chan School of Public Health and 35 percent at the Harvard Business School."

"Canada, China, India, Britain and South Korea are among the countries that send the largest numbers of students to Harvard, according to university data.

Genia Lukin, a Ph.D. student from Israel in Harvard’s psychology department, said that the Trump administration’s latest pressure tactic — deployed, like the rest, in the name of combating antisemitism — would further harm people like her who have experienced antisemitism and anti-Israel bias on Harvard’s campus."

“The program is about how to bring international development to countries around the world — without international students, it doesn’t make sense,” Mr. Llodra said. “Many of us came to the U.S. to study because the university system is the best in the world, and this policy might destroy this system.”

He said he was lucky that his student visa had been sponsored by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he is about to receive a master’s degree in business administration.

Maria Kuznetsova, a graduate student from Russia, said the announcement on Thursday had reminded her of things she experienced in her home country.

“In the student chat groups, people are saying, ‘Don’t panic — it’s too early,’” said Ms. Kuznetsova, who is considering a move to Europe while also quickly applying for jobs in America in hopes of securing a work visa. “But I think that’s detrimental, because then you don’t prepare for the worst.”

Correction on this - I meant to type 100 Israeli international students study at Harvard.
