Hasn’t this always been a thing?

I swear, back when I was paying off my student loans - you either paid them, were in a qualified deferment (or something I can’t remember the name - it was where you didn’t have to be paying for a reason), in school, etc - or they’d take the money from you if you defaulted.

I haven’t had loans in years, has it changed?

Millionaire plastic surgeons shouldn't have their degrees (that they used to earn their income) funded by working class plumbers and electricians making a fraction of the income!
So, you believe millionaire plastic surgeons are defaulting on their student loans?

Oh my....
You say the stupidest shite.

What will you come up with next?

Apparently some debt collection efforts were paused around 2020.

Yeah, the story begins with "Those in default..."

Whether Trump can garnish wages, etc., depends on law. But if someone is in default, especially if they have assets, then I have no issue seeking payment, as long as the efforts are legal.

They don't. Was this in the kool-aid?

BTW, electricians and plumbers make very good money. Very good.
Even landscapers do. (Not their help)

I thought that expired a while ago?

🤷‍♀️

I have no objection to people in default facing standard collection practices.

Is there something otherwise different about this?

Attitude towards collection efforts, perhaps.

All of the repayments were paused during covid. After covid, the Biden pukes kept trying to arrange for one group or another not having to repay.

That's over now. Payment is due.

I was under the impression they were paying all along 🤷‍♀️

Guess that’s my mistake.

Lovely Red Hat language.

It has been, but now DONALD is making a manly proclamation that he's gonna continue doing it, and MAGAs wet themselves in glee.

Yeah…this just seems so odd.

There are various ways to defer, etc making payments (if I remember), there are various levels of pay back plans, etc…but you either do that or they take action against you.

That’s a part what the DOE has overseen.

But now we like the DOE?

I don’t get it.
