Matthew 25:40-45

New International Version

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of THE LEAST OF THESE, you did not do for me.’

Jesus fed the masses when they ran out of food. Trump is shutting down programs that help to feed those on the lower economic scale. People are now starving in Sudan and elsewhere because Trump shut down selected USAID programs. His buddy Netanyahu is purposely starving to death thousands upon thousands of Palestinian children, and Trump is giving tacit approval by looking the other way.

Jesus healed the sick. Trump is shutting down Medicare programs that help economically deprived adults and children to get proper medical care.

Jesus preached an earthly gospel of empathy and compassion towards others. Trump clearly finds such instances to be signs of weakness, he has no use for them, his right-hand man Stephen Miller comes out and says such right out loud, and his “Christian” fundamentalist followers follow along like lemmings and actually find ways to justify such cruelty, as we will soon see. Fact is, it is quite clear that Trump pretty much can’t stand “the least of these” and doesn’t want to be around them or have anything to do with them. Instead, he cuts as many programs designed to help them as he can in order to provide huge tax cuts for himself and his wealthy elite buddies. More pure corruption.

Jesus would not recognize this hateful “Christian” Trumpcult as followers of his message of love and hope. Jesus would harshly criticize them for their utter hypocrisy just as he did with the Pharisees.

The Trump cult has hijacked patriotism and turned it into hateful xenophobia, and has now hijacked religion and turned it into nothing more than a political action committee that is about as far from Jesus-based Christianity as possible.

Oh gee, one who believes what the Bible says is all a myth, now claims to be an expositor of the Bible. What an oxymoron. See post #(2781) in the thread "End Times Prophicies: Are They Lining Up To Be Fulfilled?"

Tell me what I said in the OP that is not correct. You can’t. That’s why you made it personal instead of addressing the topcoat, per se.

No thanks. Not interested in your myths and superstitions.

You're the one that said the Christian faith is all a myth. Not me. Do you now deny it? Yet you want to play the role of Bible expositor. Again, oxymoron.

The problem with this assertion is, of course, that in the case of welfare, what you are essentially doing is volunteering your neighbor's money to pay for your good deeds.
Charity is good works. Advocating that the government do it is stealing from your neighbor.

Jesus said something about taxes once.

Remember what that was?

(Matt. 25:40-45) is not speaking to the Christian age. It speaks to the time of the Tribulation period when ones actions towards the Jews who are being persecuted will be the basis of the Lord's judgement. And you are trying to impose it upon actions during the Christian age.

Show us where Jesus said that. What I remember Jesus saying was render unto Caesar what is Caesar's.

That's how taxes work.

Back to treating everyone else as you want to be treated - and to taking care of those in need: What objections do you have against these sentiments?

And Jesus wasn't talking about governmental entities anyway; the "you" to whom He refers is the individual and that one individual's decision to give alms, clothe the poor, visit the sick, etc.

He was speaking to all of us, including religious and Government officials. The injunction is to help those in need.

He didn't limit such assistance to "the individual".

Lees, i am fine with watsup trying to exposit scripture the best way he can.

our Motive here should be to encourage ALL on this forum to look at what God says and follow it. i don't care if watsup doesn't believe, at least he understands some rudiments of what God expects from him and us.

this latest from watsup is AMAZING; give an Atheist a bible and let him preach. pretty soooon he will believe and know God.

i think God is working inside of him to be able to write something like this, so thank you watsup, keep preaching whether you believe or not.

in the End, all these atheists and christians should come to the Historic faith as God intended.

how?

the way is narrow the Leads to Eternal Life and few find it Jesus said. just because you are a christian doesn't mean you will see heaven, many are fooled by some declaration of godliness but inside we have fallen away from the faith.

so..........all of us NEEED to find the faith on a daily basis.
all means all. and i hope to see you Lee and watsup on streets of Gold with a great sigh of relief and joy.

promise me that. .........k ?

And, again, you have yet to show that anything that I said in the OP is incorrect. Why are you avoiding doing so?

Yes, I am aware of Libertarian dogma. The problem arises when “charity” cannot meet all of the needs of “the least of these’? Should people then be allowed starve? If a person of lower economic means cannot afford a doctor, should he or she simply be allowed to medically suffer or die? Libertarianism is totally unrealistic in terms of actual governance.

Pretty sure whatever they're worshiping isn't Christ.

It's more like Moloch.

It is indeed. “The prosperity gospel”. If you will give me (Pat Robertson or Joel Ostend) money, then I promise you that God will make you rich (or at least He will make me rich with your help).

Yes, we knew that you fine Trump cukt Christians would find ways to “justify” the pure hatefulness involved in the programs of Trump and Stephen Miller and Mike Johnson and the Congressional Republicans to deprive “the least of these” of government assistance so that Trump can give himself and his wealthy elite sponsors her another huge and unneeded tax cut. This is what we expected all along. Jesus weeps.
