Though trans dads like Danny Wakefield, left, and Kayden Coleman are open about their pregnancy and birth stories, a lack of cultural awareness continues to fuel misinformation and stigma.

When Danny Wakefield gave birth to their first child in 2020, it brought to light a string of issues faced by transgender parents in the health care system.

“I had a really hard pregnancy,” Wakefield, 36, who is transgender but also uses they/them pronouns, tells Yahoo Life. During emergency room visits, Wakefield says they were met with “snickers” from nurses, as well as “doubt, disbelief and a lack of knowledge” from physicians ill-equipped to handle their needs.--

Anyone born with a uterus and tubes is a woman/female. Not a man, not a "transgender man". They are women.

I don't hate these people, I feel really sorry for them. To live a life of confusion this way must be miserable. No wonder so many commit suicide.

More people should be explaining to them the truth, not encouraging them to dive deeper into their confusion and despair. I wonder what chance in
life the children of this kind of turmoil will live? Probably just cause even more psychological harm and mental illness.

I know that low estrogen levels can cause havoc on pregnancies. Deformities, miscarriages, low birth weight, etc. I don't know if studies have been done on (*the insanity--I can't believe I'm saying this*) how testosterone impacts pregnancy, but I'm guessing it's not good either.

Hence, we can only hope these kids survive their mothers' sick obsessions with drugging themselves to look like men.

And if the kids do make it, I can't even imagine the psychological problems they'll grow up with.

It really is funny how much of conservative "thinking" and politics is just based on a childhood middle school mentality of being repulsed by stuff they view as "weird" or different.

Most people are straight so being gay is weird and bad. Most people in my country look and talk like this so these people that don't are weird and bad. they have the BIOLOGICAL sex of a woman

Their lives, their choice. As long as the babies are born healthy and are raised in a loving environment, they have better odds of growing up to be happy, stable, productive members of society, unlike those raised by Christian Nationalists.
