Trump says there's a deal ≠ there is in fact a deal

Just a week or two he was claiming he already had 200 deals. Then they made a "deal" with the UK to make a very limited deal in the future. That's it. The idiot seems to think announcing the existence of deals is a pressure tactic.

The devil will be in the details. If they're able to get a framework for the main issues the US has with China (currency manipulation, IP theft, restricted domestic market) and some actual progress is made, then this will be a good thing. If this is similar to the UK deal where a finalized deal is still underway, then this is more performative than substantive. Let's see what gets announced tomorrow.

You're damn right we will. None of this chaos had to happen except for one Megalomaniac Egotistical idiot in the WH. There was no economic emergency to begin with. Prices are already skyrocketing. Anything Trump does will only decrease the levels of suffering, not end them.

Try and not forget that Trump was elected on two main issues. #1. The cost of living. #2. Immigration. While he's managed to cut down border crossings, Americans are not thrilled with how he treats illegal immigrants.

As far as #1 goes, he's done nothing whatsoever to address the cost-of-living problems of Americans. In fact, with all the cuts in government services happening, people are suffering more. And then there are the tariffs.

I've not personally seen cost of living increase much at all - gas is steady, grocery prices are (for the most part, beef/chocolate prices have went up but they've been going up since last year like eggs have) .... housing has stabilized after monster spikes in costs from 2020-24 ........

If people are suffering because they're not getting to such the Govt teat anymore ... that identifies the clear problem right there. The US Fed Govt shouldn't be how people depend on living


As for the southern border? Biden and liberals said a POTUS couldn't do anything - they lied. Trump has been hugely successful and other then liberals crying nobody is disappointed with how well Trump has done


I personally am very disappointed with GOP controlled Congress not doing anything

There's been "progress" and a "consensus", no deal is signed yet. We have to wait and see what actually is agreed to.
