The hospitality industry was expecting a 9% increase in tourist visits to the US for 2025. Now it’s projecting a drop of more than 9%.

That represents an economic hit of almost a trillion dollars.

The US is in danger of becoming a pariah state.

This is what happens when you have a President who decides to treat allies like shit.
The people in those countries have decided to vote with their wallets and go somewhere they actually feel welcome.
 
When our own federal agents, under direction of this administration are ripping apart the houses of US citizens, detaining valid Visa holders and even US citizens at airports as they’re re-entering the country, acting without regards to due process, deporting people without hearing to a torture prison and deporting young women backpacking - while also going through the personal phones of anyone they feel like…

Yeah.

People are going to opt to go spend their money elsewhere and I think that’s a smart choice in their part.

The US of 2025 is not a friendly place and not somewhere I’d suggest you bring your family for a visit. Especially if you have any significant pigmentation to your skin.

In fact, unless he reverses course dramatically it will *BE* one, because the rest of the world will move itself out of US dollars and US investment to the maximum extent possible.

Every single empire that attempted to take on the world lost.

We’ll see. If the U.S. remains a MAGA state in ‘28 then I’d say you’re right. So much depends on how much the democrats have matured by then.

So, one asshole president is representative of all US citizens. Trump won because the American people lost confidence in the democrats. If I were you I’d be more pissed at the democrats for being so f***ing out of touch with Americans real concerns, i.e. gender and race politics, a brain addled president who thought he could still do the job, etc. etc.

When your government advises you to buy a burner phone and leave yours at home you know you're looking at travelling to a pretty questionable country. People who have texted critically of Trump and/or America have been run through the mill.

Trump has only just reached his first 100 days. Give him a bit more time yet. After 4 years I bet Trump can make America look worse than NK. Kim is just an amateur dictator by comparison.
