Tonight on Glenn Beck: Gov. Sarah Palin, Wives of Border Patrol Agents

Monday , January 19, 2009

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and the wives of two former U.S. Border Patrol agents whose sentences were commuted by President Bush Monday will appear as exclusive guests in today’s debut of Fox News Channel’s Glenn Beck program.

Palin will be among the first guests and during a live interview with Beck’s show, which will air at 5 pm ET. The former Republican vice-presidential candidate will be followed later in the program by Patty Compean and Monica Ramos, who will also speak live about their two-year fight to secure the release of their husbands following the men’s conviction on charges they illegally shot an allegedly unarmed illegal immigrant smuggling marijuana across the Texas border in 2005.

In one of his final acts as president, Bush commuted the sentences of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean, convicted in 2007 of assault, discharge of a weapon in the commission of a crime of violence, deprivation of civil rights and tampering with an official.

Incidentally, Glenn Beck begins his new tenure at Fox News tonight.

BTW, how is this breaking news???

Here in the United States there has been an ongoing struggle to get Ramos & Compean released from prison. Today that quest has reached it's goal.

That is news. And it happened less than 24 hours ago.

That is breaking news.

Interviews with the two wives is pertinent to knowing about that story.

Also, Glenn Beck, a Conservative news pundit returns to the airwaves on his own show after leaving CNN a couple of months ago. It seems there may be an FCC regulation which limits how soon a personality from one station or network can appear on a competitor's airwaves.

Beck's new show starts today and that is newsworthy.

And anytime Sarah Palin is interviewed on TV it is newsworthy.

Yum yum.

;)

A) There's already multiple posts on Ramos & Compean.
B) Sarah Palin is old news.
C) Beck is media, and should be in the Media forum.

This straddled several events and categories and rather than posting it three times I, instead, did what I did.

Sarah Palin is ALWAYS NEWSWORTHY.

There is no media BIAS in this story so it wouldn't fit there.
