Horrible incident but if a toddler can access a gun and kill a person then obviously guns are a problem...

No, human stupidity and situational unawareness are the problem here.

Perhaps that person should never have been granted a CCW, but it's simply not a reason to ban guns.

Lawn darts were the dumbest toy ever. If they had been built with rubber tips, well and good, but steel spikes? I took away a set that our kids found at grandmas house, they were throwing them at each other!

Except that the mom did kill her kids using the tub to hold water to drown them in. Bathtubs are exceedingly handy for holding enough water and access is too easy.
