Trump defense is doing a good job today.

I think these edited videos on both sides should be banned. They're very deceptive and involve statements taken out of context. Again, on both sides.

I've always felt that the incitement argument was weak. They should have focused on Trump's dereliction of duty. But this whole impeachment #2 is just a waste of time.

I think the short guy with the glasses is doing a good job. Van der meer is up now. Doesn’t look like he has the juice to make this argument stick.

I agree that their hypocrisy has been exposed. Speeches that encourage people to "fight" are rather common.

They should have called witnesses to show that Trump was pleased by the riot and Trump refused to help. That's impeachable. The speech in and of itself is not.
 
I would vote to impeach Trump (bar him from office) based on his election lie and his dereliction of duty during the riot.

How many millions did these goofs make to edit some clips and play them on loop? It's barely been an hour and some of them have been played like 5 times already.
 
No defense at all just a whole bunch of whataboutism and totally irlevant arguments. Must really have very little if they have to spend 10 plus minutes of your time on a video based solely on the one word "fight"......OK, we got it after 2 minutes..... so Trump meant at the ballot box when he said that on the 6th....now what about the rest? It is really unfortunate that they chose the Trump tactic of challenging the integrity of the House Managers. Character assassination is the Trump "fight ' song.

There is no doubt Trumpsters will eat this all up, right up their ally, bobbleheads bobbling. Tucker will be all gaga over the Trump team tonight. That is who the defense is speaking to Trumpers and Trump. trump will be acquitted, they will all cry vindication but the majority of Americans will be totally disgusted.

They altered videos and tweets too. The Democrats deceit has been exposed.

Disagree that Trump was "pleased" by the riot or he refused to help. He always called for their protests to remain peaceful. When that didn't happen, he told them to go home. He strongly condemned those who committed violence. His speech isn't impeachable nor is anything else.

This is just another political shit show conducted by the shitty, hypocritical Democrats.
 
You would never be allowed to play those kinds of videos in any court.

The Dem video showing Trump's tweets as the riot progressed was valid. But when they quoted him in different speeches they went too far and opened themselves up to this counter.

The smoking gun for Trump's treachery is the get Pence Tweet and doing nothing about the riot for 2 hours, and even then it was a praising Tweet to the Insurrectionists. Pence eventually was the one that got the National Guard in. Trump "gleefully" just watched it on TV.

Great stuff. Legacy building. And I am sure the Senators who found the video of cops being assaulted to be "offensive" will have an issue with the gratuitous shots of random people being kicked in the face....something that has absolutely nothing to do with why Trump is on trial.

He refused to help. Those around him were imploring him to help.

If they could call witnesses under oath we can get the testimony on the record. Now all we have are reports off the record.

But we know for a fact that Trump was calling Senators asking them about the vote while they were under siege. He wasn't concerned about their safety. He's a sociopath.

There is an incident from Trump's past where a man fell, hit his head, and was bleeding. Trump only cared about his marble.
