This is a quote:

"You are currently on the criminal disqualification list. Once you are no longer serving a sentence of incarceration as the result of a conviction of any indictable offense under the laws of this or another state or of the United States, you are permitted to register to vote."

So I looked around, walked outside, bought a Diet Pepsi at the 7/11, and figured I'm probably not incarcerated. I know where my board of elections is. I can get there easily. I know enough English to explain that since I'm standing in their building, it's pretty much proof I'm not incarcerated, and please re-register me to vote.

Not everyone can fight bullshit like this as easily as I can.

This is the GOP governing, like it?

And this is one of the GOP's long term plans. Keep deregistering people based on district, surname, voting record if thay can access it, and keep forcing them to re-register.

You're in jail, you're dead, you don't live there anymore, you haven't voted in a while, it's all the same. They hope enough people fall through the cracks to slip by another cycle.

Fascism has already come to America. It arguably did a couple of decades ago when state GOPs started throwing up all these new voting hurdles.

Last election there were no democratic options in the down ballot races in my district and the republicans lied about my state’s anti gerrymandering issue.
