I hope my liberal friends show some backbone (I know how awful it is to have to go through Trump 2.0
There goes any credibility you might have had.......................................there is ALWAYS a "best" candidate. If you do not vote for that person, then you assist the worst. You helped Trump win.
When Trump comes for America...don't cry to meEven Nancy Pelosi clapped her hands and sang along

I flipping knowIt's fatigue. Trump fatigue. Maga fatigue.
Disinformation fatigue. Alternate fact (gas lighting) fatigue.
Get involved in local politics. What do you propose we do?
Ya got it. I won't.When Trump comes for America...don't cry to me
Classy from the guy who literally says AOC, a reverend member of Congress, is "a dumb ho"Any normal, moderate, non-woke democrat would have likely beaten Trump. Instead you ran a vile, authoritarian, far-left, empty-headed idiot.
Which is pretty much what an opposition party ought to do!Get involved in local politics.
So true!Get involved in local politics.
How, materially, did you life improve?I'm glad Trump won, as bad he is.
Good God. Hard to believe you or anyone would post thisAny normal, moderate, non-woke democrat would have likely beaten Trump. Instead you ran a vile, authoritarian, far-left, empty-headed idiot.
It is nonsenseGood God. Hard to believe you or anyone would post this
No, any serious party should, whether the effect is to maintain a good base of power, or to regain one they foolishly threw away.Which is pretty much what an opposition party ought to do!
I think it has. We've seen him and his cronies get away with so many immoral acts and so many crimes, spew hatred and nastiness and bash their opponents. Yet, there seem to be no consequences and 50% of the population overlooked it and elected him. Sometimes you have to ask yourself, what's it going to take?I know. I am only noticing less resistance than Trump 1 (which, as I have said is understandable)
I just worry Trumpism has worn people down
I hesitate to blame voters.
As we have engaged earlier, you are a good person...
What do we have to do?
I can tell you about my Brits...I think it has. We've seen him and his cronies get away with so many immoral acts and so many crimes, spew hatred and nastiness and bash their opponents. Yet, there seem to be no consequences and 50% of the population overlooked it and elected him. Sometimes you have to ask yourself, what's it going to take?
I will never be apathetic about it, but I have lost some hope. I'm not a vengeful person, but as another poster said I think what will create change is the very people who voted for Trump feeling the pinch when he backhands them with his policies. How many people in the UK feel stupid for voting for Brexit? Sometimes it's hard knocks that create change.
False.50% of the population overlooked it and elected him.
I agree with the idea that populism wins...Why is that? It is those voters that gave us Trump. He is nothing without them.
Like I said, Trump is not the problem. Our fellow Americans, are. Essentially, we - you & I - are now the minority. Our fellow Americans reject us & our ideologies & policies. Or at the least, they reject the political party that most embodies our ideologies & policies.
Thank you. Ditto!
We can't do this ourselves. It must be done within the context of a major political party. We need to strengthen the Democratic Party to better carry America's more Centrist mainstream electorate, or at least carry enough of the mainstream electorate to combine with the Left for an electoral plurality.
This is difficult, as I left the Dem Party on two occasions over my life, with the last & most recent being due to strong intolerance I received from some Dems in real-life encounters towards my more Centrist ideas, even while I also carried a great many Liberal ideas in concert with them.
The Dem Party has to become the Big-Tent party again, accepting more diversity in the political spectrum - like they used to. Especially, Populism. Populism might be most important. They had it in the sixties. In the eighties, Reagan stole some Reagan Dems from them. Clinton got quite a few back in the 90's. Then Dems ceded them to Trump in 2016, and despite Biden's 2020 win - continued to cede them until the finale earlier this month!
Populism wins in America. Always. It's in our genes.
Then why didn't you vote for him????????I'm glad Trump won, as bad he is.
Peering into their minds is feebleThen why didn't you vote for him????????
It seems hopleless...but it is not soI think it has. We've seen him and his cronies get away with so many immoral acts and so many crimes, spew hatred and nastiness and bash their opponents. Yet, there seem to be no consequences and 50% of the population overlooked it and elected him. Sometimes you have to ask yourself, what's it going to take?

It's going to take s lot longer than that. Trump is old and will be gone soon, but the people you deplore aren't going anywhereIt took me 4 years to shake by head clear of Voter stupidity in 2016..........................give me 3 months this time.............it was never trump, but rather the deplorable, gullible, morons who support anyone remotely like him.......
I am here to learn.....................but yes, I know...........Peering into their minds is feeble
How would your life materially improve? It's going to take s lot longer than that. Trump is old and will be gone soon, but the people you deplore aren't going anywhere
