Appeals court lets Trump deploy Oregon National Guard to Portland

Presently, they might not be.

However, today's ruling sets an entirely new precedence that Trump can send in the NG if needed to protect ICE operations, ICE agents, and federal ICE buildings.
Will you agree when the whole 9th Circuit overrules these two Trump lapdogs?

This is what you linked to:

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents rescued seven missing children while raiding a Chicago warehouse in October 2025.
Rating:
False

So the questions are can you read?
Did you unintentionally post this even though it has nothing at all to do with this thread?
Or, is it just something you were fed by rightwingcrackpot sources?

What a glorious decision for freedom against government

Conservatives rejoice!

The founders couldn’t foresee millions and millions of people flooding into America over loading the system to a point where even NY and Chicago would cry enough is enough.
Bidens broken Borders broke America….and some Democrats want it broken.
HEAR!HEAR! Thanks~Worth Repeating~

Your opinion is not proof of anything. Prove what you write or stop bothering me.

You need to prove that Trump is a tyrant and has received power through the law.
Otherwise, I'm not interested in your dorky argument.
I agree, Proof is far more important than a personal opinion.

I agree, that need to prove Trump is a tyrant. 👍👏

You did what was just and right. And for that you get kudos. MY life at this time is a challenge, I do not have the time to spend on this forum to counter all the naysayers. Glad there are a handful like you that do against the overwhelming number of TDS sufferers on this forum. Thank you.
I agree. Yes, she does. Hoping that will change in the future. Always enjoyed reading your counter to naysayers. I’ll always be happy to see & read your posts when you can post. I’m also glad for that handful! Really miss your posts. They were always worth reading. 😊

I came home from seeing family last weekend, and then got one of the most miserable cold/coughing type viruses of my life. I wasn't even able to post for most of last week I was so ill. Now I'm catching up in the last few days while I get better. Hang in there, and post when you are able. I'm thankful you are reading. Peace ☮️
Vesper is truly missed. I agree, with the “post when she is able”. I’m also thankful she is reading! 🫶

Fascism was never a "method of governance". It was always, everywhere corruption and nihilism masquerading as order.

I understand your error. Your seeming desire for the punishment of people who differ or scare you is precisely the corruption that pretends it is order. Of course you mistake what fascism is. Fascists are the last to admit what they are. If they could admit it, they wouldn't be fascists.
Indeed that's the one thing MAGAs have practically sworn never to say and have never said -- and have always denied by dismissing it and attacking instead. MAGAs know severely that fascist and fascism is a foul and dirty word and thing so it's a definite no no to admit. The vast majority of MAGAs will never announce their fascism until they have undisputed control over the country which is when there will be no one to jump all over 'em about it. That's when there will only be the free and open celebration of it.

So, you have the crystal ball and know what he will do. You should try to market that thing.
In case you didn't know this either, Memphis is a blue city in a red state.
How many NG have been deployed to red states?

“Judges Ryan Nelson and Bridget Bade, both appointed to the 9th Circuit by Mr. Trump, said in the opinion for the court.”

Okay. Fascist Trump judges let Trump do fascism. Not sure I even have to look to see who appointed these corrupt jurists anymore.
I just love it that people grasp at any straw, any reason to maintaing theior beliefs and opinion. The 9th circuit is the most liberal in the land, meaning that LIBERALS couldn't steamroll over the truth this time

From Grok:
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has long been regarded as one of the most liberal federal appellate courts in the United States, a reputation rooted in its composition, jurisdiction, and historical rulings. This perception stems from several factors:
  • Composition and Appointments: The Ninth Circuit has 29 active judgeships, the largest of any U.S. appeals court. Historically, a majority of its judges have been appointed by Democratic presidents (e.g., Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama), contributing to a left-leaning tilt. For instance, as of recent analyses, only about 14 of the active seats have been filled by Republican appointees. Even after Donald Trump's first term added 10 conservative judges (shifting the court somewhat rightward), it retains a narrow liberal majority.
  • Jurisdiction: It covers nine Western states (including liberal strongholds like California, Oregon, and Washington) and two territories, handling a massive caseload—over three times the average for other circuits. This leads to more high-profile progressive rulings on issues like immigration, environmental law, and civil rights, which often draw conservative criticism.
  • Empirical Evidence: Studies of its en banc (full-court) review process from 1998–2020 show it functions as a "reliably liberal" court, with liberal panel decisions more likely to be upheld or reheard en banc, while conservative ones face higher scrutiny. Its median ideology scores place it among the most liberal circuits, though not the absolute leftmost (e.g., the First and Second Circuits sometimes edge it out in clerk hiring liberalism).
  • High Reversal Rate: It's frequently overturned by the Supreme Court (the highest raw number of reversals), but this is largely due to its size and volume of cases, not inherent bias—every circuit sees most of its reviewed decisions reversed.

This outcome illustrates how, despite the Ninth Circuit's overall liberal lean, individual panels—especially those including Trump appointees—can deliver conservative-leaning results, particularly on executive power issues. Oregon officials have sought en banc review by the full court, which could test the circuit's broader ideological balance.

When the court is t=stacked with liberals we don't hear a peep from the left, do we??

trump isn't gonna leave the presidency.

Prepare your minds now.

What civil unrest? People in costumes and roller skating and riding bicycles?

😂😂
You believe that is all that is happening in portland currently? That there has been no civil unrest there?

And here I thought conservatives objected to a President wielding too much power.

My bad that only applies when its a Democrat…..

There have been other presidents who have deployed the national guard. That is actually one of the duties of the national guard.

Show the “civil unrest” that is so violent that the national guard is necessary to be sent - against the wishes of the people and government there.

The "people"? Are you saying there are no people in portland and no business owners, that would like assistance with the unrest?

When US citizens harass and impede Federal law enforcement with zero help from local law enforcement because of politics….guard is needed and has been lawfully approved by the court.

Local law enforcement has a duty- not a choice- to enforce the law.
