Easier on the pavement than tank treads and nearly 70 tons of armor.
 
Trump's parade had no military music.

I'm not crazy about military music, but its a part of their culture and history. I wonder why they preferred rock and roll.

Because conservatives have no taste. Everyone I know who likes classical music or reads old books, etc are liberal. In fact conservatives brag about "western excellence" and they're right, but they take NO interest in the establishments that was created in that excellence.

The main difference here is that these are traditional events in the UK.

I wasn't aware the US had a tradition of the President having such huge events for their birthday.
Can you point out similar events in the last 30 years?

To be fair to the US troops the UK troops who go on these parades practice for years and the US soldiers only had a few days notice so it's highly unfair to expect them to be in perfect synch.
You don't just haphazardly slap together a parade like Trooping the Colour in London without masses of practice and the troops knowing exactly what to do.

I'd say the same about the soldiers guarding the Tomb of the Unknown soldier in the US as they're highly trained in what they do and I wouldn't expect soldiers to just be thown into that after a weeks training.
