This morning Trump declared defacto martial law because of one broken windshield, do you support it?

Read the memo. He says the sec def can deploy any number of active duty military from any branch to anywhere in the US.

Why are you defending this? No one can force you to defend this.

To a limited extent. Didn't you read his memo? Here: "To the extent that protests or acts of violence directly inhibit the execution of the laws, they constitute a form of rebellion against the authority of the Government of the United States.

Even when they are acting illegally and unconstitutionally?

Well, at least you support law enforcement is defending themselves and Congress when Ashli Babbitt was killed after disobeying lawful orders to stand down and lunging at the officer.

We already have ICE to handle immigration and local police to manage civilian protests. Are you really so scared of immigrants and protests that you feel an immediate need to deploy the military against fellow Americans for having different political beliefs?

Since its original passage by Congress, the Posse Comitatus Act has been updated to include ALL of the US military under its restrictions. When passed in 1878, it only applied to the US Army, subsequent updates have placed all of the divisions under the restrictions of the act.

Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army, the Navy, the Marine Corps, the Air Force, or the Space Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

Hmm, maybe Hegseth should call in the Coast Guard as it isn't named in the act
 
Hmmm...

I could be wrong...but I don't think I am...but I think federal law enforcement is acting legally when defending federal property and federal personnel against people who are trying to attack them. And, if it gets to the point where the National Guard is necessary, I'm pretty sure that is legal as well.

And no...I am not scared of anything. Not only have I not deployed anything or anyone to anywhere, I'm over a thousand miles away from all this.

In any case, Trump isn't scared, either. He's not deploying anyone against fellow Americans for having different political beliefs. He's deploying them against criminal Americans who are attacking federal property and federal law enforcement.
