There is so much wasteful spending in this country. I could make one simple move that would reduce spending and increase employment. Simply cut food stamps and those without would suddenly find a job.

I have an idea that nobody seems to EVER talk about. Let's INSTEAD of cutting...streamline government offices. There is SO much wasteful spending at the very CORE of how the offices run. Buying supplies in bulk, rather than on a need basis, highering 4 guys for a job that can be done by 2, and spending up every ounce of the budget that they are given so they can request more at the next budget hearing. I worked in a state office as a student. I can tell you that they hired me for 40 hours over the summer. That was 20 hours LONGER than they needed ME at 9 bucks an hour to keep the place running. That was just the maintenance section. They had 3 receptionists when they only had 1 door that the public was allowed in and NEVER enough people to warrant that.

Basically...every time I have dealt with a government office...be it local, state, or federal...it is NEVER the shinning example of effeciancy or budget wise spending. You send some budget consultants in and what do you think would happen?

You really need to find out more about the high rate of unemployment the tea party governors and republicans congressmen have created. And many of these jobs are overseas into Europe and also insourced into our prisons...who really loses?

Yep. I keep thinking of that GSA bigwig sitting in the hot tub with a glass of wine. All on my dime.
