As much as the majority of House Democrats wanted to avoid impeachment the way this crisis unfolded left them with no choice. The whisleblowers report was judged credible, given in good faith and credible by the IG and should have been turned over, according to the whistleblower law, directly to congress within 7 days. Instead the acting DNI intercepted the report and turned it over to tRump's administration; possibly violating the law. Then as usual when knowledge of the complaint came out the tRump administration stonewalled it's release. The details of the report that tRump had tried to extort cooperation, that would benefit his reelection campaign, from the Ukrainian President by withholding approved military aid.

Boil all the fat off, and that's what happened. Trump, by withholding the complaint from the Congressional Intelligence Committee forced Congress to start an INQUIRY into impeachment to force the release of the document to the intel committee that was, according to the WB law, the rightful recipient. So I don't understand the animosity toward Democrat's over this INQUIRY; IMHO, at this point, it's premature, unfair and unwarranted.

In the mind of Trumpists, this is strictly a Liberal and DEEP STATE[sup]®[/sup] plot to hurt their beloved President Trump.

Never mind all those troubling facts and transcripts.

They have been conditioned to hate liberals/Democrats, and as long as they feel they are hurting them, the believe anything is a good course of action.
We have people on these forums explicitly admitting to this, and we know that because they reject facts, reason, decency, norms, etc., the do not value nation over party.

You don't understand, Irwin. Supporters of fascism care about one thing and one thing only: Power. If the law is on their side in their quest to power, they will defend it to the end. If the law is against them, they will rip it to shreds. We are witnessing this now in real time with their utter disdain for the law that any reasonable person knows was put into place to keep our president from destroying this nation.

All FAKE CLAIMS

As much as the majority of House Democrats wanted to avoid impeachment the way this crisis unfolded left them with no choice.

They had plenty of choice and the House made it. San Fran Nan didn't have the votes to hold an Impeachment Inquiry so they moved to putting out subpoenas without the support of the House.

Pelosi Ducks an Impeachment Vote - WSJ

The whisleblowers report was judged credible, given in good faith and credible by the IG and should have been turned over, according to the whistleblower law, directly to congress within 7 days.

The DNI cleared that up during the hearing. They had 14 days if the DNI and the DOJ decided it was a valid complaint

Instead the acting DNI intercepted the report and turned it over to tRump's administration; possibly violating the law.

Turning over the WB complaint to the DOJ is not violating any law. Get real

Then as usual when knowledge of the complaint came out the tRump administration stonewalled it's release.

Sorry, just more lies. The DNI testified that he was never asked by the WH or any official or staff member to hold the complaint, what was in the complaint, or who the WB was. You should keep up on current events so you don't look so foolish.

The details of the report that tRump had tried to extort cooperation, that would benefit his reelection campaign, from the Ukrainian President by withholding approved military aid.

Made by a partisen WB that has no 1st hand knowledge of anything and additionally exposed was the WB lie that a WH official on the phone told the WB what was said but it was found out this WH Official was never on the call.

Had you actually watched the hearing to hear what was exposed, and if you actually knew that San Fran Nan couldn't get the votes from the House to start an Impeachment Inquiry, you might be able to figure this out.

Here is a list of what we found out during the hearing.

Not that you would dare to read it but others will

The Democrats have EARNED all that animosity and more.

What does it mean the whistleblower was credible? It doesn't seem that way now. The way the Democrats like Schiff are spinning this was absolutely horrible. Talk about slander. The whistleblower used 3rd party leaks to do this. How is that credible? This is the same set up the Democrats and the Deep State Republicans did with the Russian crap. This is a coup. Completely Un-American. There is no high crime or misdemeanor. Yet, here we are.

You didn't listen to the DNI's testimony before the House Intel committee, did you? If you had, you would know that you don't know what the **** you are talking about.

Then it won't hurt to give the right what it has been asking for: A FORMAL congressional vote on an OFFICIAL impeachment inquiry. This unofficial posturing must stop. Let the Democrats put up or shut up.

What does it mean the whistleblower was credible? ... This is a coup. Completely Un-American ... There is no high crime or misdemeanor. Yet, here we are.

The man in who's job it was to make the call, the IG, deemed the Whistleblower complaint "credible"

It's nothing like a coup.

Yet! And there may never be, that's why it's an inquiry.

There are no troubling facts. Hearsay is not factual. And, what does "troubling" mean anyways? It's just a fuzzy world that sounds important. It's not. The fact is, Schiff was completely wrong in his timelines and facts about what is lawful and what isn't. So is Pelosi. There was no quid pro quo. None! Trump has every right to talk to the heads of countries and question whether aid should be sent or not if there are problems with corruption. Do you want aid sent to Saudi Arabia? I bet you don't.

Oh, I think Pelosi made the inquiry very OFFICIAL.

The polarization was already there. This is just an expression of it. If you expect rationality from the Trump stooges, you are doomed to constant astonishment.

… Hearsay is not factual. ....

Just because tRump and Co. have branded the report "Hearsay" doesn't mean it is; that's why it's an INQUIRY.

I believe that people on this forum and elsewhere, refuse to admit that Trump has done a single thing wrong or un-presidential is because they only want to save face and avoid humiliation. They're more worried that all their arguments and quarrels over the past three years were words used to defend a man that doesn't really care about this country or them. Once they let go of that fierce grasp trying to hold onto the most un-patriotic president in our history, they will have to say 'I was wrong' and they are just not going to do that.

There are hundreds of facts. Unfortunately for Trump, the House inquiry won't be dealing with those "alternative facts" Trumpists have come to embrace.

The left was made to be 'the enemy' on the day that we elected a Black man as president.

There hasn't been a vote of the full congress to make it official. Until this happens, it's all posturing.

Oh, I think Pelosi made the inquiry very OFFICIAL.

No. The Democrats NEVER gave Trump a chance and attacked him and supporters non stop since before the 2016 election. Every Democrat president was given their grace period. Yet the Democrats refuse to give Trump his. There was no attempt to get along, ever. So **** you, there is NO WE. There is only YOU and ME. You are my adversary to be defeated by whatever means at whatever cost. I don't want to get along with you anymore I am way past it.

I didn't know that Joe McCarthy was in office when we had a black President. You must know something about Truman or Eisenhower's ancestry that I don't!

The left was made to be 'the enemy' on the day that we elected a Black man as president.

It would have been essentially the same irrespective of which Republican was elected in 2016. This is about overturning an election. Let's not kid ourselves.

First of all, the U.S. should have cut financial dependencies with Saudi Arabia long ago. Saudi Arabia doesn't have to develop their own military weapons, they have enough money to simply pay for them from other countries. We don't need Saudi money if it means we're contributing to a humanitarian crisis in Yemen and causing the starvation and deaths of civilians there. We should not be any part of that conflict whatsoever.

Yes, of course as the President, Trump has every right to have calls between foreign leaders. If he wants to act goofy or say stupid things to another leader, it's inappropriate but that's all it is. But when the president is engaged in some type of corruption that's antithetical to the interests of this country or to the national security of this country even going as deep as compromising our elections, that's something that the American people must be aware of. Trump hasn't done a single thing since he took office that would earn our trust. Having the 2 top Russian spies right there in the Oval Office without any U.S. representatives present is concerning on it's face. But now we're finding out that there's White House communications documenting the fact that he actually told these two Russians that he 'wasn't concerned about Russia's interference, because we (the U.S.) does the same thing." That's absolutely startling, or should be to any American.
