There is no secret for all Europeans that now Poland tries to present itself as the main fighter for interests of East-European countries. And more than once the rest EU members, including our Italy, have become witnesses of numerous attempts of present Polish leadership to vindicate claims of East-European countries, headed by Poland, to obtain constant financial support from the other EU members, even now, in heavy conditions of financial crisis! Certainly, the lid of EU old-timers came off and at the recent Brussels’ meeting such EU leading country as Germany, for example, has openly declared that it cannot appropriate to a special reserve fund for assistance of all countries of East Europe. And after the Strategy of Poland as a regional leader has failed Polish government and personally President of Poland, Lech Kaczynski, has decided to pass over to policy of open confrontation with Western Europe, and especially with main donor of poorest East-European countries, Germany.
The matter is that recently in Internet I’ve seen an extract of a curious interview of Lech Kaczynski to the newspaper “Gazeta Studencka” (ссылка), where Mr. President does not even estimate “the refusal of EU leadership to support anti-crisis aid program for East Europe as extremely short-sighted and risky decision”, but also dares to compare Merkel’s “ignominious behavior” with “the style of German leaders of the 30-40s”, in other words, with the style of Nazists! Moreover, to all seeming Mr. Kaczynski has decided to take vengeance on German newspapers for naming him a potato in 2006 and publicly (!) called Mrs. Merkel sub-****ed woman and neurasthenic politician, who “wish to dominate in Europe, but cannot see further than own nose”!
I remember, after using offensive language by German press President of Poland has refused to meet Mrs. Merkel and even French leader. So what should do Mrs. Merkel after damaging words of Mr. Kaczynski now, I wonder?
