The democrats want to ensure that the whistleblower, Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, and Adam Schiff don't have to testify. In order to block their testimonies, the democrats will not be open to calling witnesses.

In any trial in this country, witnesses that are pertinent to the trial are called. A witness is never called to testify that they went shopping at a Piggly Wiggly on the same day that the Piggly Wiggly was robbed. Why not? Because it's not pertinent to the case unless that shopper happened to be there when the store was robbed.

Same protocol applies to either of the Biden's. They weren't on Trump's call to Zelensky. They have nothing pertinent to the case against Trump whatsoever and the only reason senators like Ted Cruz are insisting is because he knows he'll never get them approved as witnesses.

This is normalcy now. This is just the current iteration of a process started decades ago when it became necessary to vilify and destroy whoever is sitting in the White House. People understand that we're experience a momentous time in American history that few Americans have been able to witness.

What makes you think that 70% number (if true) all want to hear from the witnesses that the Democrats want called or only those ones?
My guess is that total is comprised of 4 groups
1. partisan left who only want the witnesses democrats request
2A. Partisan Right who only want to hear from the Defenses witnesses
2B. People who believe that because Trump was never given the opportunity to call any witnesses by the house that only he should be allowed to now.
3. People who believe both sides should be allowed to call in whichever witnesses they want.

That's kind of a stretch. Cruz has been advocating for Hunter to testify for weeks because if Hunter was involved in corruption, it would justify Trump asking the Ukrainian leader for an investigation. And Schiff needs to testify because he's likely helping write the whistleblower claims. LOL

Talk about reaching for straws. What does either of the bidens have to do with trump trying to get ukraine to mess in our elections by announcing something they knew wasn't true. Why do you think they kept telling the administration they would make the announcements but never did? Pressure. They need the military aid.

Was either of the bidens present or on the line when trump made his perfect phone call? No, so then they are not material witnesses. What purpose would it serve to call them? Just curious.

How are any of those relevant witnesses to Trump's charges? The most important part of allowing a witness in a trial is RELEVANCY.
