This is a panda. It's a type of bear.

This is also a panda. It's not a bear. It's not really closely related to that bear. And it was a panda before that bear was a panda.
FFS, they can't both be pandas.
Will the real panda please step forward.

And don't even get me started with penguins, those damn imposters.
 
I've been to the Chengdu Panda Research Center and seen both the big ones and the little red ones. The little guys are cuter.

This is the naked mole-rat. It is neither a mole nor a rat nor hairless. It's basically a cold blooded-mammal with an extremely weird social structure.

This is the maned wolf. It's not a wolf. It's not a fox. It's not a dog. If you want to see one go to South America and be aware that it is crepuscular.

Neither of these animals is a panda.
