The US is losing the clean energy race - to China. Trump is helping it happen.

The point stands that China uses a lot of solar power.
They make more solar cells than they use, of course.
The comparison is totally logical, as we COULD be competitive in my view, and we COULD be a leader in clean energy manufacturing, like China is.
We are currently and deliberately turning away from doing so.
People are unhappy about that for reasons I would have thought obvious.
Simply put, it hurts us, and sets us on a path to cede an important and emerging market to China.

THAT is what I find to be ****ing baffling.

I could certainly see a comparison being made, just not based on what China exports as any sort of guideline.

Which is why I asked a very logical question of how much solar as a percentage does China use?

12.5% roughly

Which is equivalent to about 25% of US electricity consumption
