The trial of Donna Adelson for the 1st degree murder/solicitation of murder of Dan Markel

There is a lot of direct evidence. The emails, recorded phone calls, the bump, the search for non extradition countries and then caught attempting to board a one way plane trip to one. There have been 5 trials and 4 convictions with mostly the same evidence, but it gets stronger every trial and conviction.

I do hope Wendi is next. But the direct evidence against her is lacking, as was Donna's plan.

The book will help. It already helped convict her brother, and it will her mother too.

So far this morning it is still the text communications between the conspirators.

I can't wait for Wendi to testify, she has done so in the previous trials under an immunity agreement which she will again, which of course dissolves if she lies (and she has already lied at previous trials.)
 
Donna heavily involved in Wendi's and Dan's relocation of they're children.

Wendi just called to the stand.
 
Wendi had the most to gain from Dan's death.

Her and Donna. Donna was vicious and vindictive against Dan with regards to the kids, their opinion of their dad, their religion, and their location. Even more than Wendi was I think. I don't think Wendi has ever steered the ship really. Probably was told to marry Dad in the first place by Donna anyway. "He's a smart nice jewish canadian boy, will be a total pushover and do whatever you say." Or something along those lines. And the murder got Donna what she wanted most. Kids with her while Wendi worked and socialized. Walking them to and from school across the street from her home.
 
Wendi's lawyer reading a statement about how she's only testifying due to the court's subpoena and state's immunity deal, and would otherwise claim 5th amendment protection. Outside jury presence.

I like the story about how she coincidentally drove out of her way by his house after the murder and was seen by police, on her way to buy Vodka or something.
 
Wendi was losing the relocation process in court and Donna was beside herself.
 
Wendi authored a fictional book that closely resembled her real life, and Donna’s defense argued it would be confusing to jurors to include the book because the “main character did not feel stuck in Tallahassee".

The defense says evidence shows Wendi’s book was originally published on September 15, 2011, before she was denied her petition to relocate from Tallahassee to South Florida in 2013.

I guess its evidence, maybe not.

Wendi didn't steer the ship, it was Donna and her son IMO, however Wendi was the catalyst, the agitator. The question is, was Wendi aware of what her mother and brother were up to.
 
Donna's desperate desire for relocation demonstrates motive. Nowhere in her emails is there mention of violence. However, Donna does mention tactics to manipulate the situation. Donna also referred to Dan as "the asshole," "bastard," "narcissist," "bully," and "religious zealot" in her emails with Wendi. These negative remarks highlight her disdain for her former son-in-law and motive.

Dunno. She hasn't been. It's her first trial. Her son Charlie was convicted in 2023, that was the most recent trial in this case.
 
Based on Jeffery Lacasse's (the boyfriend) testimony, Wendi collaborated with Charlie to kill Dan. Wendi is looking worse and worse with each trial. I would love nothing more than to see her go down, Robert Adelson seems like the only one in the family not involved with Dan Markel's murder.

Mary Hull, financial investigator said there was no evidence that Katie Magbanua paid for a BMW Harvey owned and sold to Katie for $1700.00. If Donna was the head of the household, this was her work as well as Harvey and Charlie. No evidence that Katie paid for her breast augmentation as well. All kinds of checks going to Katie signed by Donna. Did she think this wouldn't be uncovered. This is what is gonna bury her along with a one way ticket to Vietnam. With the exception of Robert, this entire family belongs behind bars. Flashbacks of the Wagner's.

So, Katie Magbanua goes to her closet and retrieves her cut of the money. She opens the bag and the money is wet. She asks Charlie why is the money wet. He replies "oh, my mother washed it".

The Prosecutor who sent Donna to prison was asked on her way out of the Courthouse by media "should Wendi be Worried". She replied "stay tuned".

There's some evidence, lots of motive. Lets face it, common sense, it all started with her how could she have not known.

The prosecution will consider in my view, the fact that she has two young children who have already lost a father.
