Ousted Syrian dictator Assad smuggled $135 billion to Russia — report

Beyye stated that the funds were “smuggled out” of Syria; however, he did not provide details on the mechanisms used to transfer such a substantial amount.
He also described a conflict between pro-Russian and pro-Iranian units in Assad’s military.
“The first clash occurred between Aleppo's commander Gen. Muhammed Safadli and Russian-aligned Gen. Süheyl Hasan,” said Beyye.

No one actually thought he was going to get by on food stamps...I dont think anyone is surprised he probably raided Syrias treasury.

Yes, likely, and some of it was probably gifted to Putin as rent.

Assad's slaughterhouses are to be shut down. You have to remember though that HTS are probably not actually closing these notorious prisons for humanitarian reasons, they have comrades in these prisons. But that these facilities meant to incarcerate, torture and kill Assad's political opponents finally closes are a good thing overall.

And they will reopen the following day as HTS prisons. You honestly think HTS is going to run Syria any less brutally than Assad? They are an AQ affiliate and openly working with ISIS.

New Caspian report on the situation

The takeaway, that I think everyone will agree on is: the various rebel groups against Assad will now start fighting each other.

Assad loyalists kill 14 in clash with Syria's new ruling forces

One thing I have been suspecting is that the new government's hold over the Alawite areas was non- existent, the rebel offensive never went there, so they would not actually have any feet on the ground there, and the one place in the country where they would actually like Assad and be willing to fight would be the Alawite lands.
