The conversation in the "Should Billionaires Exist" thread got me thinking about the people in my life who support far left Progressive (quasi-Marxist) policies and the sort of people they are.
Living where I do there is no shortage of Sanders/Warren/AOC and now Mandani supporters among my friends and family. While this is still anecdotal, with full confidence I can make two generalizations about these people:
This almost willful ignorance of economic reality leaves them vulnerable to being spun by collectivist jargon.
While their cluelessness can be frustrating, I will not give up on them, for their own sake as well as mine.

1. Most are among the nicest, kindest people I know.
2. Not one of them has a clue how a market economy works, how wealth is created, what it takes to run a successful business, and they show no desire to understand any of it.
