When Ronald Reagan talked about a Shinning City on a Hill his idea was that the best way to spread Democracy and American ideals around the world was to make America into a nation that was so amazing it would make every other country around the world jealous of us. He hoped that people around the world would look up to us, and say, "Man, I wish my country was like that."

The best leaders lead by example. They don't go around telling people what to do, they work hard, they do what's right, and set a shinning example that makes the people around them want to try as hard as they can to be like them.

Is there a single country on this entire planet right now that is jealous of America? How many countries around the world would like to trade our government for their own right now? How many would like to trade their leader for ours?

Shortly after President Obama took office in 2008 he gave a major speech in Cairo, Egypt. An Islamic country that was ruled by a dictator. Within two years Arab countries all over the middle east with dictators started rising up and demanding they step down, and wanting to form democracies. We didn't tell them to do it. We didn't force them to do it. Our CIA didn't have to organize coup the people of those countries did it mostly by themselves(with a little help in Lybia).

The people in these countries were jealous of us. They saw how America was able to kick a piece of **** like Bush out of office, and replace him with someone who they greatly admired and wished was their own leader.

There is nothing to admire about America right now.

Sure there is. Freedom, liberty, the ability of each one of us to live to our fullest potential, abundance. If you have limiting beliefs, you're going to be limited.

We are not the bastion of Freedom you seem to think we are. There are a lot of other countries in this world that have not only caught up to us in the department, but surpassed us significantly. What's worse that our so called political leaders are trying to take us backwards in time to a point where millions of Americans that aren't straight white christian males had even less.

Again, you're not stating anything that isn't true about 50 other countries, except it's actually a lot easier in most of those. Anybody can get a good education in most of those countries without having their future sandbagged by massive debt. One severe illness does not send you into bankruptcy when you live in more modernized nations.

Just because the government isn't specifically forcing you to do something doesn't mean you're free. With so much power and wealth consolidated among such a small % of the population they can use that leverage to force Americans into bad decisions that they do not want to make, but have little or no choice. People don't go to pay day lenders and buy cars on a credit card because they have freedom, they do it because they are desperate, and the only people that can help them are trying to take advantage of it.

Then move if you are that miserable. I'm happy living here and I enjoy life here, it's my home. And it's my responsibility to see that leftists not destroy it. I live in the land of opportunity, not sure where you live.

Paraguay?

The whole mid-east is jealous of us, they're angry they're not us and this is going to be me and you and Don Cheeto next time.
