Trivia: Buddy Ebsen was the original Tin Man in Wizard of Oz, the aluminum colored make-up almost killed him and he had to withdraw.

I had just gotten out of the service and we had a watch party for a network presentation of WoO. We were well oiled before and had one of our party fooling with the rabbit ears trying to get the color to come in, when it finally switched from B&W to color we sang his praises………
 
1939..iirc 1 of the 1st movies in color... Well part of it anyway...
