An article from Psychology Today has lit the internet ablaze.

  • Dating opportunities for heterosexual men are diminishing as relationship standards rise.
  • Men represent approximately 62% of dating app users, lowering their chances for matches.
  • Men need to address skills deficits to meet healthier relationship expectations.

I saw a guy on CNN a few ago that warned that the disparities in education between young men and young women would increase male isolation and anger. I'll see if I can find the link. Women far outpace men in higher education and educated women are less likely to date uneducated men.

If women are more motivated than we are to learn, that's our problem.

In fact a lot of this comes down to too few men taking personal responsibility for their lives and actions.

So-called masculine industrial manufacturing jobs are disappearing and being replaced by "feminine" service jobs. Trump claim that he would save these jobs is part of his bizarre masculine appeal.

Oh, I agree. But why are young men unmotivated to succeed in college?

I actually see this in a surprising number of my friend's kids. I think of them in my head as the lost boys, I would never say it to their parents. They are boys of above-average intelligence who have educated, supportive parents. They go to college, flame out and then live at home, go to community college part-time and work minimum wage jobs.

Sounds to me like men do not like the terms that women are setting to be in a relationship with them and men are opting to not get involved with women. This trend has been steadily increasing since at least as far back as the 80s.

I think women have always been smarter than men. No offense, guys. I love you men. But...

When my son was in 2nd grade he said to me one day, "Mom, why are the girls always smarter than the boys?"

Single men also are less likely to have an emotional support structure, and when they do it is often less robust than single women's. Cultural emphasis on masculinity makes men less likely to admit weakness and seek help and less likely to provide it to other men.

Thus the rise of incels.
———
A new US Secret Service report details a rising threat from men who identify as “involuntary celibates” or “incels”, due to their inability to form intimate relationships with women.

The report released on Tuesday and prepared by the National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) highlights behavioral threat assessment themes identified in years of research examining targeted violence.

Or, even more often, women have decided it's better to be alone than to settle for some emotionally stunted, egotistical, angry man.

The education complex offers women more opportunities than males. It's getting exactly what its been grooming the population to be. If they want more educated men maybe they should offer men the same level of help that they offer women.

as a guy who was once young i can tell you that when guys aren't having sex then violence can follow.

i also want to thank all my girlfriends when i was younger/in my 20s/30s. all but one were healthy relationships.

Schools make it a point to skew their enrollment system against men. It's one of the merit badges you can achieve for being woke.

The opposite is the case. Men have more educational and vocational opportunities than women, though this is rapidly decreasing. The fact that more women seek education is precisely because of this.

That's a separate but possibly related issue. Boys are given all sorts of messages throughout childhood that anything stereotypically feminine is "lesser" than things that are stereotypically masculine. Turns out that in the real world, empathy, understanding, socialization, and collaboration count for a lot. One can't just crush and dominate their way to success.

I've had dry spells before and was never once tempted to commit violence. Lonely men who don't like their predicament need to take responsibility and get their shit together.

What do you think is the point of the educational "grooming"?

Yes I'm lonely wanna die
Yes I'm lonely wanna die
If I ain't dead already
Ooh girl you know the reason why

In the morning wanna die
In the evening wanna die
If I ain't dead already
Ooh girl you know the reason why

My mother was of the sky
My father was of the earth
But I am of the universe
And you know what it's worth
I'm lonely wanna die
If I ain't dead already
Ooh girl you know the reason why

The eagle picks my eye
The worm he licks my bone
I feel so suicidal
Just like Dylan's Mr. Jones
Lonely wanna die
If I ain't dead already
Ooh girl you know the reason why

Black cloud crossed my mind
Blue mist 'round my soul
Feel so suicidal
Even hate my rock 'n' roll
Wanna die yeah wanna die
If I ain't dead already
Ooh girl you know the reason why

Wanna die
Yes, I'm lonely
Wanna die
The only reason why
Wanna die

College teaches them that if they excell they are blocking opportunities for miniorities and they should feel shame for that so they under achieve

It's time to give women a century or two of running the world. They couldn't possibly do a worse job than we have.

yeah, not everyone will get violent.

but being young and horny can lead some guys to do bad things.
