The Republican Party is abandoning Democracy!

What does this mean? It means that everything that our forefathers fought to achieve is being discarded by the Republicans. The 3 tiered checks and balances system of the House, the Senate and the Executive Branch is being ignored and a monarchy system (like what was in place during the American Revolution and that we fought against) was in place.

Republicans could not be clearer about the fact that they consider Democratic governance fundamentally illegitimate, yet some establishment Democrats act as if politics as usual is still an option and a return to “normalcy” imminent.

Simply stated, we are fighting a Revolutionary War again with the Republicans representing the 1776 King of England and the Democrats representing the Americans trying to free themselves from Monarchist/Autocratic rule.

It does not mean this American Fascism is less dangerous. Its more dangerous given numbers of American's who lack understanding for what is going on right under their noses.

As for attacks on Christianity, its a country based on the separation of church and state. Don't like that???? TOO BAD. Move out. Buy some island and then you can establish a government based on the co-mingling of church and state. Knock your mind out.

Traditional American values and beliefs. More religious crap. Traditional American values are WASP values. They are fine IN THEIR PLACE. Keep them out of governance and if you can't GO AWAY. As for beliefs leave them in the church pew where they belong.

This is another thing that I find about how broken the GOP and their supporters have become. They have no arguments so memes are the only responses. They know deep down that they are marching full on into eliminationist philosophies and the thing is... they kinda like it... so they hide what they know as unsupportable in a functioning Republic in their sad sad sad and broken pictures that they think is humor.

In a normal world the fact that a President used the power of his office in an attempt to overturn the results of the election that he knew that he lost which resulted in a violent attack on the Capitol and half the country are like " Why are you obsessing about our attempts to destroy the Republic" is just wild.

They invited Victor ****ing Orban to their conference... they are fascists at this point.

More than abandoning, Rep/cons are attacking democracy and have been for yrs. Dems haven't been putting up much of a fight in defense of democracy.

If a government does not have a solid foundation of morality, then it cannot survive. So I don't want a theocracy but I don't want a strictly secular government that's hostile to a religion such as Christianity either.
