The potential collapse of the US dollar

Do you honestly want to go on record saying that the countries with bigger economies are supporting China's trading practices and aren't supporting what Trump is doing with China? Really?
Countries with larger economies already trade with China and their practices are well understood. However, America has shown itself to be an untrustworthy trading partner with a penchant for bullying tactics rather than negotiation. Most larger countries are looking to lessen their trade reliance on the US. The EU is already exploring additional trade opportunities with China as is Japan and Canada.

Xi is forced to go Vietnam, Malaysia and Cambodia with his tail between his legs to try to patch things up. The guy can't even go to Thailand because the Thai people blame China for faulty construction during the earthquake. All agreements need to be reevaluated in light of America's demands. Xi sees his situation becoming more dire by the day. You may see him fall and a new Chinese leader put in. That way China has more latitude in ignoring old agreements and changing course.
The news I see from China isn't good and this tariff war is going to impact China worse than the US, especially if the rest of the world uses this tariff war to negotiate better terms for themselves. The major problem I see is that China was actually overproducing before this tariff war started, and now that the tariffs are kicking in the companies are laying off workers in droves. The big question is if China is ready to cave or it is ready to go to war. Trump will win the trade war, but I don't think he can win a hot war. Especially with maybe a quarter of America ready to support China instead of Trump. We'll see what happens.

Other countries are imposing steep tariffs on Chinese goods as well.
Sure, but are we talking about them specific to the tariff fiasco?

How can they hate Trump's tariffs when they themselves are doing the same?
Yet no one is tanking the world markets as a result. Why is that?

Have you read about the EU imposing steep tariffs on Chinese EVs? That's just one of many examples.
I have, but that's unrelated to the current tariff fiasco which has the EU negotiating with China and other nations to avoid the impacts. Odd that the EU didn't slap 145% tariffs on Chinese goods, no?

The EU is tired of being a dumping ground for Chinese goods and is retaliating just as Trump is. You're plugged into the Anti-Trump narrative network and not into the real world.
Actually, the US tariffs might mean exactly that for the EU. No one is saying China is a perfect trading partner, and there are scores of issues to address, but what no one has decided to to is apply this level of tariffs on not only China, but all sorts of other nations. It's mind numbingly daft. Trump could have worked with the EU to address some of the very issues you pointed out, with the leverage of these two massive markets as leverage. Did he do that? Nope. He went rogue and now looks like a paper tiger since he's had to backtrack on tariffs twice, with the worst one having to spare electronic goods from the affected products list.

I wish i had the opportunity to buy my first house at 7% interest.

One difference is that the price of your first home was likely only double your yearly income vs 4 to 5 times that now

Will you be so kind as to share links this news you have seen of droves being laid off?
He can't, it's just a talking point he got from the media and dutifully parrots elsewhere.

China exports to the US are less than 3% of their GDP. MAGA vastly overstate the pain China faces because, well, they don't know any better. Virtually none of them have ever been to China, and think of it as this nation that only exists to make stuff for us, and is completely dependent upon us.

I cannot prove you wrong

There's nothing wrong with the US dollar other than we sold trillions of T-bills to China and now they're dumping them because they're desperate for those very 'despised' US dollars to prop up their own currency to keep it from going into free-fall.
Magas are, by far, the most ignorant and illinformed electorate in the history of modern America.
