Aside for the obvious falsehoods, outright lies, plagiarizations and determined denials wielded by the faithful over the centuries, slowly many people are seeing through the smoke and smashing the mirrors.
"As I explored this, I realised why there is so much hypocrisy amongst the so-called body of Christ. Christians have little to no motivation to try to be good because they already believe they are good in spite of what they may do simply because of what they believe. This explains why Christians (including the many that barge on into this site) are so pompous, insensitive and full of themselves. Their beliefs give them a false sense of entitlement and superiority where they believe they have a right to say what they want to whomever they want as long as the gospel is being preached. Some will even go as far as to actually tell lies to get their point across. With regard to the issue of faith over works, it is patently obvious why so many Christians fall on the side of faith; it offers the path of least resistance and allows them to indulge their worst traits, safe in the knowledge that unlike the rest of us “sinners”, they are not perfect, but forgiven."

A thread started with gross inaccuracies that illustrate more about the closed-mindedness of the OP than the point attempting to be made. A pure strawman, full of bigotry and lies. It's sad that you can't engage in an honest discussion and have to resort to such low tactics.

I have been on the earth for 58 years, and raised Roman Catholic from early on. I have also had a friend molested by a Catholic priest in Boston. I am no longer a Catholic because of my hatred for the Catholic church.
But with that said, your spheel lacks any credibility whatsoever, and is pretty disgusting overall. Most every Christian I ever met had faults, but they work on being better people everyday and use their religion as a guidepost through life.
I hope that your hardon doesn't last more than 4 hours..................................you know the deal.
Your complaint is noted. Also the gross mis-representation of the subject matter as being grossly inaccurate. If you are so convinced this is the case, why not attempt to refute those parts you believe are inaccurate, instead of just using the usual tactic of the those who have nothing substantial to contribute...shooting the messenger? BTW, I am bullet proof.
Because it's a waste of my time... You don't want to know Truth, you want to look down your nose at Christians. I learned a long time ago that there are people who don't want to see reality and are dead set in what they want to believe. Your OP was an example of that kind of person. You literally missed on every single thing you said. Gross misrepresentations of Christians, blatant anti-Christian bigotry and a complete denial of facts. I only post on these kind of threads long enough to point out what they are, not to try to convince people like yourself of the "errors of your way". You've long since chosen a path of hate and ignorance and I'll leave you to it.
Nothing I could say could be more disgusting than the history of xianity in general and the RCC in particular. Other spin offs from those foul faiths are no better. What is a "spheel" Typo?

Oh, I'd say the officially atheist Communist states could more then give them a run for their money.
No doubt, but the RCC set the standard before those atrocities were committed. Further, the Vatican's murders were done in the name of a mythological being. Stalin's were done not in the name of atheism, but in the cause of a failed ideology. No one was sent to a torturers dungeon for refusing to be an atheist.
Some random person of colour had a few words about Christianity
“I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” ― Mahatma Gandhi
This of course does not excuse atrocities committed in the name of his own faith over the centuries
Actually, yeah, people were. According to officials party line, it was impossible to be loyal good citizen and a believer.
A good example of that in action in Hoxha's Albania.
Not to mention last I checked nobody's been able to disprove God; that would be a neat trick, seeing as we have yet to be able to quantify an omnipotent being.

And what does that have to do with what I said?
I do know the truth and whenever I post it, people like you come out of the woodwork and call facts and history lies. That attitude does not prompt or encourage one to have respect for them or their mythology. Fact is, one cannot possibly mis-represent the horrors xianty has inflicted on innocent people over the last 1400 years or so. Every foul abuse and pain mankind can devise has been devised and used on people who's only crime was not believing in mythology. If your faith was true, you god real and your saviour had actually existed, there'd be no need to torture people into saying they believe. Christian Atrocities | Victims of Christianity | Catholic Church Inquisition | Crusades
If you say so. Regardless, even if that were true, unproven at this point, the majority of the killings were not done for any reason other than ideology. There is no need to prove or disprove the existence of something which patently does not exist. There is nothing save faith itself to suggest any god exists. Were children not brainwashed from birth, there'd be no religions. Which explains the great extent to which religions go to brainwash children from the earlier age possible.
That ignores the people who weren't raised in a faith but later became religious, or those who went from one faith to another.

I don't mean to be difficult, but can you provide a credible source which is neither wiki or religious? For all I know those entries were made or edited by some religious chappie.
Wikipedia is actually more unbiased--- relatively speaking--- then a lot of the random sites out there.
If your really interesting you can probably go to the references section and go from there.
The problem with your "religious people could have invented it" theory is that the East Bloc states were pretty blatantly obvious as to what they were doing.
