Maybe because of the realistic looking heads and stuff laying around.
Seems odd to me that all of the 'dolls' pictured are Caucasian.
 
How will this affect birth rates?
Will this kind of tech improve the loneliness epidemic?
I wonder what the effects will be on pedophiles. Will the creation of a robot that'll satisfy their abhorrent attraction keep them away from real children?

I can imagine that this kind of technology would be both problematic and beneficial in many ways.
 
This may lead to a new category of Darwin Awards. They would still be removing themselves from the gene pool by pursing this kind of “relationship”.

Also.. obligatory movie reference: “Guy killed me Mal… He killed me with a sword. How weird is that?”

I understand this is already a thing in Japan. Japanese men turning to these "dolls" because 21st century Japanese women aren't putting up with their misogynist nonsense.
