"The Looting of America" - Vox

So you favor encouraging more companies to relocate in even lower tax countries overseas where they now will not pay a dime in U.S. taxes? I thought "America first" meant keeping business here?

Why would they? It makes no sense. Slippery slope fallacy is just that.
He countries that might be lower they really don't want to go for obvious reasons.

Vox is another liberal rag site like daily kos or media matters.
The source is bunk and crap.

I love how liberals rail against drudge or breitbart but have no problem
Posting liberal hacks sites like vox or motherjones.

Seeking confirmation bias is not unusual but most media bias is by omission.

The NYT is a prime example with their "all the news that's fit to print" slogan - who, exactly, decides what events and facts are "fit" to report?

Obviously, no news source has the staff or bandwidth necessary to report everything but when only one side of a story is presented repeatedly then it becomes fairly clear that bias, rather than resource availability, is the likely cause of such lack of balanced content.

Pigs at the trough. I've never seen anything like this in the USA. It's like Venezuela or something. Maybe Russia without a strongman leader.

The problem is factual news doesn't sell. We have gone back to the way of yellow journalism. Where any slop can be posted for a news story and no accountability is taken unless the person is caught and there is a public outcry.

It is like we are living with the dan rather syndrome in the media.

The constant bickering and fighting between the Republican party and the Democratic party is actually there to serve to distract us from the true reality of the Uber Rich taking advantage of all of us. :2wave:

We aren't smart enough to sort it all out.

Yet another post that has no rebuttal for even one of the points made in the piece. What is your "side of the story" if there even is one. Honestly I believe you have nothing and instead choose to change the topic.

If by "we" you mean Trump supporters I would agree. They are not only "not smart" they have become zombies who only believe what they are told on FOX news.

Who was it that was "smart" enough to run Hillary?

First, I don't see anything that biased in the piece and, if anything it is a bias FOR a certain type of dishonesty, a cynicism with which, you concur in your closing argument.

And I agree, to a point, that the Republicans have tossed 2018 to the dogs, knowing that as most of those up for grabs are solid red. And, in their cynicism, are playing the odds "how bad can it get" and "we have a year to buy some votes" etc. Time is both a politicians best friend and worst downfall.

From what I have read, it does not appear the message of Alabama has been noted nor understood. What I noted most was not the media level bull****, but how a gang of middle class black women banded together to oust one of the elite and privileged. Perhaps it is the narrowness of victory or the arrogance of being "in", but that gang of middle class should be THE wake up call of all wake up calls. History is riddled with more cases where "a gang" of anybody has thrown over the elite and privileged not the least of which being the French Revolution and, of course 1776.

The question becomes who's tale will be believed by rank and file Republicans, whether as you suggest the elite of the elite are lining their pockets OR that Trump is the savior of American "family values".

What I found most stunning and correct was "...if not for the fact that hundreds of Republican Party members of Congress wake up each morning and decide anew that they are indifferent to the myriad financial conflicts of interest in which Trump and his family are enmeshed. Moral and political responsibility for the looting ultimately rests on the shoulders of the GOP members of Congress who decided that the appropriate reaction to Trump’s inauguration was to start smashing and grabbing as much as possible for themselves and their donors."

Trump is far worse than Hillary in every way. She would not have signed a tax giveaway for the rich either.

Hillary and the rest of the Clinton criminal cartel would have sold us out to the Russians by now.

The Clintons and the Obama's have been so good for the Democratic party. They have lost more than 1,000 seats in Federal and States Governments. :2wave:

A serial rapist and an incompetent and lying criminal loosing POTUS candidate are something to be proud of...

LOL Trump has already sold out to Putin. He has no choice either. Putin owns him.

The landscape will be changing in November. Trump is likely to be out by then too.

The Trump investors are cashing in while they can.

Vox is to opinions what assholes are to everyone.

With the lack of message from the hate filled left, and the lack money from donors, things better change soon!

The left doesn't do well in mid terms historically. It was easy to cheat in Alabama, much harder on the day of a national election. With anti White Perez at the helm of the DNC screaming racism, you have to wonder how that message that helped drive whites to Trump will really play out!
