Many conservatives are very anti- "people getting stabbed in the neck on a subway", while the left's narrative is "That's just life in the big city, get used to it". Long story short....The left likes to sweep violent crime under the rug, especially when it's committed by minorities, but they will run "white-on-minority" crimes all day long, because they love to give minorities excuses for why they commit crime.The stories are not equivalent. In the Daniel Penny case there was a question if Penny was protecting others or did he murder the guy. This question is the heart of the matter. Was it murder or not? That was an interesting question. That made it a story.
In this case a man murdered a woman clearly. There were no questions or doubts about the criminal act. It was not interesting. It was open and shut. Fox and other far-right media jumped on it just because the guy was a released convict. It then fit their propaganda of crime being rampant in the US and liberal judges. It fit their narrative, it fits your narrative. It is not of real interest to the general public who don't follow far-right narratives.
