How can the 14A be legit when President Andrew Johnson expressed doubt that the amendment was legitimate because of the Reconstruction process put in place to force and coerce the defeated southern states into ratifying it.

To make matters funnier, it's a Constitutional amendment backed by legal precedent, and one that speaks exactly to what the current administration is protesting.

Article II, Section 3:

He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.

The Constitution provides that the President shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed . . . .

This wasn't even what you were arguing. You were arguing that tRump could unilaterally repeal a constitutional amendment.

Well, he keeps trying to handle it that way, but the Judicial Branch keeps telling him he has to actually uphold the Constitution, just like he promised to do when he swore his oath of office. It's funny how the Constitution actually works through the separation of powers. Not funny "ha ha" because it's really sad how he and his supporters seem ignorant of it, but funny in an ironic way how it keeps protecting itself. I, for one, hope that holds true for another four years, and we can, God willing, escape this insanity you and others like you have brought to our country.
