By all measures, the past four years have been an unmitigated American Disaster. On every front, foreign and domestic, the Trump Administration has dropped the ball, sometimes even twice.

Not only has the relationship with our allies been damaged--some would even say, irreparably harmed--we've seen our enemies emboldened as well. The Taliban is back on top. Hong Kong is now part of ChiCom. Hell, even Trump's greatest achievement, making love to Kim, has literally blown up.

On the domestic front, 120,000 people died of preventable cause in three months, with countless more on the way, and President Trump is in the same state of denial he was in back in February.

Riots in the streets, unemployment soaring, 100's of billions of dollars missing, and now two new books remind us again that Trump's family values claims were just a sham--that is if you need reminding. Making matters worse, we now have his supporters shooting at people for dropping statues of long dead Spaniards. Wtf is protecting statues of Conquistadors all about anyway?

I guess there will still be people who insist this guy deserves four more years. But, one really has to wonder reality they live in. IMO, this presidency is the epitome of abject failure.

Most recently in May this year the federal government returned control of Alaska's fish and game management back to the State after Obama illegally seized it.

If you want to be taken seriously you first have to demonstrate why your source has suddenly become credible after losing their credibility by completely blowing their last polls. When Alaska became a State in 1959, after 92 years of federal management as a territory, there were 5 million salmon in Alaska. As a result of Alaska's Department of Fish & Game management the salmon population increased to 25 million by 2008.

While it is true that ADF&G have culled wolf populations in certain areas, it is for the benefit of both the rest of the wildlife and the humans who live in those areas. Left to their own devices wolf populations would continue to grow until they have completely depleted a large area of all game. At that point the wolves would began to starve until their population once again reached sustainable levels. This is where human management can benefit everyone by keeping wolf populations at sustainable levels and not allowing them to grow beyond.

By the way, the Porcupine caribou herd that nurses their young on the north slope (where Pump Station #1 is located) has been monitored closely by the ADF&G since 1977, and their population has increased by four fold since that time.

Coming from Wisconsin be prepared for a shock financially. Alaska is not a cheap place to live. The cost of living in Anchorage is about the same as Boston, MA, at 27% above the national norm. Kodiak Island has one of the highest cost of living in the nation at 55% above the national norm. The reason for that high cost of living is because just about everything has to be imported into the State. From food to building materials.

There are other benefits that more than make up for the additional costs, in my opinion, but you should be made aware that compared to Wisconsin or other mid-western States, Alaska is a very expensive place to live.

I am aware I've been there, and my oldest son lives in Fairbanks...

Fairbanks is too extreme, weather-wise, for me. I prefer to stay south of the Alaska Range, closer to the coast where my temperatures are very mild during all seasons. Besides, it is a 300+ mile drive from Fairbanks to all the best salmon fishing spots and I would find that unacceptably far.
