This is a scathing review and critique of the state of our country right now - both politically and economically. When groups like this who supported the current administration with money, vocal support and votes are asking "Wha happun?" while looking around wide eyed and shocked --- Houston, we have a problem.

Aspen Ideas Festival: Obama Loses Support of Nation

Not a good sign when the base realizes the Emperor has no clothes.

He has clothes, yours and mine.

But they're really not ours, they're borrowed --- they're actually owned by the Chinese and Saudi Arabia.

Yeah, it's just like that we don't really own any property, either. Don't pay your real estate taxes to your city and find out who really owns your property.

They sure did a good job in this article to spin it to make it appear this was a huge group of wealthy liberals bashing on Obama. One of the people in your quote, the person who gave the most scathing critique by far, was a former McCain adviser:
YouTube - Why America Needs McCain - Niall Ferguson

It just started, but did you not see Zuckerman's quote or the Harvard professors views? I thought those were much more impactful - Ferguson's views well, they're no surprise really.

A lot of liberals and Obama supporters are suddenly criticizing him. Jeffrey Immelt, CEO of GE recently gave a speech where he blasted Obama. I heard that even Barbara Steisand is now criticizing him. That's not counting the recent lambasting by Carville.

I believe that the Harvard professor was Ferguson, unless I missed something.

And yes, I saw what Zuckerman said, but I couldn't find anything on the entire google where he has ever praised Obama. I can find pieces where he's bashed his policies since shortly after he was elected. The most I can find support wise is that the newspaper he owns endorsed Obama in the election but it's hard to tell if that was from the editors or from him.

I read that he said that Obama doesn't like big business and that big business doesn't like Obama (paraphrased). It is what it is. Barbara Streisand I don't even care enough about to look up what she said. Carville doesn't think Obama is up to snuff on the oil spill and is obviously aggravated at the governments response, and with good reason.

However, I have a hard time thinking that these few instances are representative of some large movement of his base turning on him. I think that falls more under wishful thinking than anything else.

Tip of the iceberg.....

We shall have to see who is right come November.
I have no doubt that has he in fact lost his base, you will enter some excuse for that.

I didnt know that there was going to be a presidential election in november...

If Obama loses the 2010 Presidential election I promise I won't make any excuses. Pinky swear.
