I know what you mean... but "finally"?? We have been doing it and Southeast Asia, China and Korea have been doing it even better for years.

When Chinese cities did not have infections life was pretty normal. Wuhan for the most part has been quite open and people were free to do whatever. With even just 2 infections cities could be locked done and the entire city tested in a week

They work if you have compliance. Right now it is like the old 55 mph speed limit in there are make mandates and various measures in place in many states and cities, but few people are complying.
